The cat is doing fine after being spayed yesterday.

I do declare! The cat's much CLEVERER than I am!

When I brought her home today, I tried to open up the trap door and couldn't do it. I must of spent 15 minutes trying to figure out how in the hell to open it. After I became totally stressed out, I gave up and went in to get a cup of coffee. When I went back outside to try to open the thing again,

I STILL don't know how to open it! Gee, maybe Houdini will teach ME how she did it! I am thoroughly baffled!

Here's the pic of the trapper. Please study this picture thoroughly to see if you can you figure out how she got out?!! The part that's leaning inward WILL NOT move!

She never had a name until today. Her name shall be HOUDINI!! She doesn't trust me anymore. There's such a look of disenchantment as she stares back at me! Will she ever forgive and forget?

Here you will find the doghouse I bought at the Swap for a few dollars
and the pillow I bought at the 2nd hand store for a dollar each!
Who says doghouses are for dogs only?!?

I paid a total of $75.00 because she was in heat. Had she been pregnant, I would of paid anywhere from $120 to $150. I now have 4 more stray cats to spay and neuter, but this will be done in January, due to the holidays. I have no idea how many of them are male and female and will soon find out. Davy will be the last to get the operation. Poor baby!

I'd love to see you ALL here!

Houdiini is perfect! And don't worry too much. Just keep feeding her face and she'll get over it.

Doc said to let her out of her cage and feed her lots of food. She hasn't eaten and won't come near me anymore.

Houdini is a nice name, huh? Ms. Houdini...I like that!

Claws, nature's lockpick :)

I do believe you are right!

What a mystery. I'm even tempted to place her in the cage again and see how she did it! But then, I can't even budge the door at all!

Oh my!

Ohhh - Davy too?
Not to cause problems -
but just to ask a question -
{'just checking'} -
Is he a 'pure-breed'?
Might want to get that checked out.
We had a 'Snowshoe'.
Had him 'done' then found out
how rare and valuable 'Snowshoes' are.
Just a thought.....

Re: M'Lady.....
Davy, too!

Although, he's inside most of the time, he does like to go out and play with the gang.

Davy is a little flirt and very handsome. I wouldn't want him to get frisky out there and find a baby Davy Jr.!

They'll all be safer after their all fixed, 'cause they'll have no reason to go partying in the wee hours of the night!

On a sadder note, they are all acting very strange. It's like Ms. Houdini told them all not to trust me anymore!

Lets see what tomorrow brings.
Hugs my Sweet Apple Pie with Whip Cream!

I have no idea how she got out. But, I love that park bench what a beautiful paint job. Very nice.

Thank you!

The benches are solid rod iron and were used here in this city at San Jacinto Plaza. I found two of them at the swap and paid $30.00 for each one!

They were a dark ugly green color and the boards were ancient and cracked.

I bought Santa Fe colors and that's the look I came up with. It took me about a month to paint it. I went to Home Depot and bought the boards, had someone cut and sand them and I painted them with plain varnish. I'm very proud of the outcome. I'll try to paint the other one this coming spring. Maybe I'll go with the Santa Fe style or something else.

I'll take a pic of the other one tomorrow so you can see exactly how ugly it was.

They're all still acting strangely towards me. I don't like it!

hehe...I understand. Cats just go through periods like that. They are highly sensitive to subtlest of behavior changes. And they react to those changes. So when you are tense, the cats will react to that. Cats, and most animals, do not respond to words, per ce. They do respond to sounds. So, you can call them dirty names in a soft voice, and to the cat, that will sound like love... hhehehe... Of course, I don't do that. But, it's just how animals ears and their behavior mechanisms work. When you are not feeling well, animals, like cats, will pick up on that, and behave differently to you. When I'm sick the cats all want to play nurse with me.

Don't worry... your cats will relax. Cats just sometimes goe through phases where they sort of get a bit turned around...

Love always,

Can't you take a bit of a closer picture of the cage than that?

Re: - Bigger Pics of Trappers
Well, let's see.
Looks like the piece sticking flat out of the trapper and the other slanted piece are connected, so...perhaps lift the flat part to gain entry, throw the animal in, and let it drop, thus letting the other piece entrap it behind that odd 45 degree angle door?
Though it seems highliy impractical since it leaves the other part just sticking out....and a 45 degree angle door....
But, sorry, that's the best I can do next to flying to your place and fucking around with it.

Re: - Bigger Pics of Trappers
Oh aye, or it seems you could use the point where those two pieces connect to lift up to the top, leaving everything at nice 90 degree angles, though it wouldn't totally enclose the front.
At least it's a start. Maybe something else'll be revealed to you after messing with it a bit.

glad she's ok and got outta her trap by herself. :o)
