PASS GO TO COLLECT MY $200.00!

I've already finished with my Christmas shopping! Am I brilliant or what?!

MONOPOLY is one of my favorite games and when I saw this at Sam's, I decided to buy it as a Christmas gift for ALL of my friends and family. It's made of pressed wood and even has little drawers to put all the little gadgets!

I cut a miniature rectangle from Styrofoam, wrapped it with pretty sparkly wrapping paper and tied a cute little bow on top of it. I found an old ribbon from last year and placed it on top of their gift. See how sweet they look on top of the Monopoly game! All I have to do now is go buy a Christmas card and write ALL of their names on it. Hope they all fit!

I realize that it will be impossible for this ONE gift to be taken home by so many LUCKY people, but I came up with the brilliant solution! The Monopoly game will STAY here in my home! Whenever any of them want to play a game, all they'll have to do is come over to my house! I feel that since I was so generous with their gift, it would only be fair that they bring the Margarita fixins' and some yummy treats for us to eat!

I wonder what marvelous gifts they've bought for ME!

Oh yeah, I think I'll just PASS GO and collect my $200.00 right now!
I am so clever!

A LITTLE HISTORY ABOUT MONOPOLY
During the Great Depression, Charles B. Darrow was unemployed, so he would play The Landlord's Game just to pass the time away.

The game so inspired him that he created Monopoly for Parker Brothers, who rejected the game on the basis that there were 52 design errors. Darrow continued to produce handmade editions on his own and was highly successful. Eventually, Parker Brothers took notice how popular the game was and promptly changed their mind, signing an agreement in 1935. The game was a great success, with 20,000 sets selling per week.

MOST PLAYED BOARD GAME
"By June 2000, Monopoly had been played by 500 million people worldwide. The game was invented by Charles B. Darrow Of Pennsylvania, USA, in 1934, and has now sold over 200 million units."
Guinness World Records
