I caught another stray cat with my cage. I had never seen this one before. Hope he doesn't belong to anyone. Tomorrow we go to the vet. Should he belong to somebody, I hope they won't be too shocked to see the tabby without his little balls.

I have to return the cage by Saturday so I can get back my deposit. I shall, but I'll shall add myself to the list immediately so I can place the deposit again for another month. If I keep this up, I may put an end to unwanted kittens who come to this world to suffer.

I'm so glad you brought this up.

I have been taking my numerous pets to the same vet for the longest time and have left a great amount of money with her. For example, when my little toy poodle Penny got sick with diabetes and almost died, I spent over $1,000.00 for her ONE week stay at the vet. I pay outrageous amounts of money to her for each of my dogs yearly shots, plus one will get sick, ever so often, so I take that pet to her.

When I saw the 3 little stray cats in my yard, I asked my brother to do me a favor and call my vet to find out if she spayed and neutered for free, plus if she knew how I could get a FREE cage trap. She didn't know that I was her customer. She told my brother that she didn't do that for free and that she charged $65.00 per cat PLUS she HAD TO give them their shots and that would cost an extra $35.00. When my brother told me this, I got very upset because I knew I wouldn't be able to afford spending that much for EACH one of the cats. So, I started calling every vet in the city and that's how I found this ANGEL who did it for free, PLUS he told me where I could go for a cage trap for FREE. All I had to do was leave a $50.00 deposite and after one month, I'd get my money back when I'd return the cage.

My vet spays and neuters only 3 cats or dogs per month. It's march now and now I can start all over again in catching stray cats again. What the vet does is after he performs the operation, he cuts off the tip of the cats ear so that I'll know that it has been FIXED already.

Guess what? I will NEVER do business with the vet (MONEY HUNGERY BITCH!!) that I left soooo much money with in the past. SHE LOST A VERY GOOD CUSTOMER!!! Guess who will be my new vet? Yes, this ANGEL who did it for free.

money hungry indeed
it is between 80-120 a pop just to get the big snip here. They are the only vet for about a 2hr drive in any direction, so they can charge whatever they please... the local animal shelter doesn't even use the local vet because they are so greedy!

I think Kitty Co actually has a program like that and I don't believe that they make you pay out of pocket for it. Check it out. I can't remember the site's address but google it. I'm sure you could find them.

So sorry I hadn't replies sooner, just having some pretty rough times dealing with the loss of my mom. Thank you for your kind words. For as long as I'm able, I'll try to do my little part in stopping little creatures from coming to this world only to suffer.
Hug sweety!

Thanks, I'm just barely getting over the loss of my mom. I'll never be the same but the pain is subsiding a little.

Now about the cats. I'm sure that if I hadn't of taken these 3 stray cats to the vet and had them operated on, there would of been more unwanted kittens, suffering hunger, thurst and would probably have been runned over by a car. Sadly, there are many more of us mere humans, with cars. This makes it imposible for cats survive.

The 3 cats I had operated on, are healthy and safe here with me. I have the best of cat food for them and fresh water. They are always here in my yard or taking naps on my porch. They don't have to roam all over the neighborhood, cause they never go "a tom catting."

The looks these cats give me are looks of love, because I represent food, water and saftey for them. More people should try to capture stray cats and have them spayed or neutered. I know it sounds cruel, but in the long run, it's really humane. If people would take these little helpless animals and care for them, there would be no need to operate on them, but you and I know that nobody cares about them.

I wish you could see my cats. Their fur is shiny and their eyes glow. It was all worth it, the time and trouble I took to have them spayed and neutered by those FEW vets who really care about animals, by not charging any money.
