I SWORE! That I WOULD NOT ever take in another animal. BUT, I'm just a soggy, droopy wet noodle when it comes to homeless animals.
About 3 months ago, I kept seeing these three little wild gray cats in my front yard. Upon further examination on my part, I found that they were living inside a big pipe I have, running across my driveway so the irrigation water could water my front yard.
It broke my heart and placed a big pan of fresh water in my porch. I'd catch them drinking water all the time. Soooo, I headed straight for Sam's and bought a 45 pound bag of cat food and a case of cat food in cans. I mix 7 big scoops of dry food to 4 tablespoons of can food and feed them early in the morning, so they won't attack the wild birds and late at night. They eat a lot!
About 2 weeks ago, I put a $50.00 deposit on a cage that traps critters. I was very successful and caught these little cats, one at a time. Whenever I'd catch one, I'd go to this vet whose an ANGEL, who spays and neuters for free. Now I have 2 little boy cats without balls and a female without a womb. Yay!
There are so many homeless cats roaming around in this world that go hungry and suffer so much. Please do as I do, catch them and take them to the vet to spay or neuter. What a wonderful world this would be if we all did our part.
I complain a lot when it's time for me to go spend my money on food for my animal clan, but when I see them fill their little bellies with food and FRESH water, my heart just spats all over the place with happiness and contentment.
