Turkey In The Straw

Playgirl Cooking Thanksgiving Dinner

Oh my! I really got over my head here. Way too many people are coming over for Thanksgiving dinner!

Let me see, there's Ronnie, Mike, Yoly, George, Ben, Fernadad, Mario, my three burly brothers from California, and Richard, Paul, Steven, Dawn from San Antonio.

This is what will be on Playgirl's Turkey in the Straw Menu:
2 Butterball Turkeys – My darlin' boss gave his faithful little workers a certificate for $25.00, YAY!
Stuffing, Corn on the Cob, homemade cranberry sauce
White Rice Casserole with sauce of sauteed onions, green chili's, jalapenos, tomatoes and garlic. Then layered with rice, the sauce, big scopes of sour cream and mozzarella cheese. (This dish is super delicious and will write the recipe someday for you!

Praline yams, mash potatoes, gravy, my homemade beer yeast rolls, my SPECIAL chili con queso dip (Friends have named me QUEEN OF HOT) because of this dish, deviled eggs, pumpkin pies I bought at the bakery, my homemade 3 leches cake (3 different types of milk) which is drenched to the very top of the white cake, then soaks throughout the cake by tomorrow, then it will be topped with whip cream and sprinkled with cherries.

AND last but not least, my SPECIAL MARGARITAS!

Mickey, Jewely are barking for joy. They love turkey!

I'll take this time to wish you all, a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Indeed you are the Queen of Hot! (...and did you say three burly brothers? That sounds hot, too!)

Sounds like quite a feast is going to be had. I'm sure your guests will all be very thankful!

You've given me a craving for margaritas--I wish I had one right now...

Have a great time!

I envy you greatly
The last big family get together for me was before I went into the Navy, While away so many of my family died... I would give anything to be part of a big family gathering again.. But alas, the only thanksgiving I will have this year is if Tracy brings me some ham from their celebration as I will be working...
Enjoy your gathering, and the wonderful fellowship, rejoice that you are so blessed that they are still around!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Re: I envy you greatly
I'm so sorry you had to work and I hope Tracy took you some of the ham.

Words cannot express the sadness I feel that you lost so many of your family members. I think about you quite often, my friend. You've somehow embedded yourself deep into my heart...
