A Mom with her beautiful baby girls.

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to start posting my collection of Peru pics. I had to make up time at work, help Grandpa give a thorough clean up of home and yard, go to Sam’s, and bathe all my pets. I was also called to Jury Duty. I'm so incredibly happy that I wasn't picked as one of the jurors! About 2 years ago, I was summoned for the very 1st time in my life to Jury Duty, and was chosen as one of the 13 jurors. It was a criminal case. The 13th juror had to be there just in case one of us got sick or whatever. It was a horrible experience for me that lasted 5 whole days! I will someday share with you what I went through. I MUST!

Most of you know that I have never in my life eaten chicken, turkey, or anything with feathers. I’m extremely careful when I order something that it doesn’t have anything that’s fowl. Since there were so many strange names on the menu, I asked the waitress if the plate I was ordering contained anything with feathers. She said no, so I ordered it.

When I was stationed in South Korea, I voluntarily ate a bowl of fried worms. I have a pic of them somewhere in my LJ, but couldn’t find it.

This is the platter that was brought to me.

I regret asking what I had just eaten, because I was shocked and heartbroken!

Before you look any further, can you guess what I ate?

I just about died when I found out I had just eaten this adorable guinea pig!

This is one of the many places in Písac, a Peruvian village, that guinea pigs are bred.

Here I’m drinking what is the gold of Peru – a Cusqueña beer.

Melodia INCA – chuklla – Such peaceful music

Why are you against eating birds?

It's not that I'm against it. It has to do with something ugly that happened to me as a kid.

If the guinea pig upset you, then never go to China. It is my understanding that they eat absolutely anything. (I got that from a business instructor a few years back.)

Not a slam against China, you understand, it's just the way their society operates.

I know you're not slamming China, just as you know I'm not slamming South Korea for eating the worms or Peru for eating a guinea pig.

The worms - its okay, but a guinea pig? - Unforgivable!

Not looking at the answer, not looking at the answer: I guess guinea pig.

I told you you were a smart Penguin! Don't tell your daughter that I ate one, K?!

I have a cd by Agua Clara; it is this kind of music. I heard them playing at a fair and just had to buy it. Sorry about the guinea pig incident; I know that stung.

While I was in Peru, I heard for the first the Andean folklore music. It was quite an experience hearing them play the panflute amongst what is true nature. It’s the kind of music that makes you meditate very deeply on life.

I will also never forget or forgive myself that I actually ate a defenseless little guinea pig.

Poor lil guinea piggy

I've only been on one case ever. It lasted like 3 weeks. It was kind of interesting

I know!

Wow! Three weeks!

The case I was on was interesting, also. The only problem was that... I'll just make a post about it, because it's a pretty long and unbelievable story.

You're a Villan!
I thought you ate Wilbur from Charlotte's Web. But, someone fed you a captured spy from G-Force: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0436339/

The world needs bigger heroes, but you ate them!

Now I know why you have so many cats. All the greatest villians did!

Now where is Scooby and Shaggy?

Re: You're a Villan!
OMG! I think it was G-Force spy Juarez that I ate!

As for Scooby and Shaggy - burp - napkin please! Meow!

Poor, poor little guinea piggy!

Oh, you didn't know about guinea pigs? Be careful if you ever go to India. They breed rats for meat in some places.
Feb. 22nd, 2011 02:36 am (UTC)
I had no idea. One good thing about India, they sure don't have a bunch of rats like this country does.

If I ever traveled to India, I believe I could eat a rat, just as I ate the worms in South Korea. But an adorable little guinea pigs, never, ever again. I just didn't know that I had eaten a guinea pig!

I'll never be able to look at a guinea pig in the face again without sobbing.

Oh, you poor thing. At least next time, you'll know what that item is when it appears on a menu there and not order it.
Feb. 23rd, 2011 12:45 am (UTC)
Should I ever visit Peru again, I'm taking a loaf of bread, lettuce, tomatoe, and just order hard boiled eggs and make me a sandwich. :o(
