1. Are you going to get your Swine Flu shot, or have you already gotten it? Why?
I'm NOT, because I don't trust it.

2. Democrat Congressman Alan Grayson is my brand new hero! Finally! A Democrat with balls of steel! Sorry! My darling Obama, and the rest of the delicate pieces of tissue paper Democrats, but Allen Grayson has more balls than all of you put together!

Probably won't get the shot since I'm a healthy person in the wrong age group. If things start looking bad I may get it.
Oct. 1st, 2009 10:25 pm (UTC)
The first and last time I got the (regular) flu shot was about 2 years ago. I remember arriving at the doctor's office as healthy as a horse. When he gave me the shot and left, I instantly caught the flu. I was so sick, that I had to miss a whole week from work.

I believe I caught the flu 4 or 5 times that year. Never again did I take that horrid shot again. Last year I caught a mild cold, as I'm sure I will this coming winter, also.

I KNOW that if I get the SF shot, I'll be among the first to catch it and die in this city.

what the fuck is that spider?
Oct. 5th, 2009 11:00 pm (UTC)
You're the guy of my dreams! You are the only one to notice, and ask about my spider!

I'll soon share more pics of it, and explain who he came to be in my life.

No flu shots for me. I simply don't get 'em. I don't really care what this strain of flu is. I'll either live or die from it, too. Based on complications I have from getting even slightly sick, I can't imagine willfully subjecting myself to small illness that for me, blooms large and long even on a small scale. I have no interest or need for flu shots, no matter what the flu is marketed as this year.
Oct. 5th, 2009 11:06 pm (UTC)
You wanna know what I think? I think some entity purposefully spread the Swine Flu virus to scare us into taking the SF shot, which I suspect contains itty bitty micro-chips, and cameras to spread throughout our bodies, so the government can see and know exactly what we’re doing even in our own homes!
Oct. 7th, 2009 05:45 am (UTC)
I don't discount the conspiracy of the government to do evil upon us in the name of testing guinea pigs in a mass market. After just a few exposures over the years of what was going on underground that was accidentally brought to light, it never surprises me anymore about what they will do, or are capable of doing. While the microchip implant may be a notch far-fetched (or not) I wouldn't put it past them as an experimental activity or test for bigger things. I hate the idea that I can't trust the inherent good in things anymore simply for the fact that when a mass activity like flu shots has the opportunity to be given out, somebody's going to fuck with it by inserting their own agenda in the name of the "safe flu shot" that the sheep will buy.

Too bad the Democrats have the majority... a fillerbuster proof majority... and they still can't get their plan passed! I guess a bunch of Democrats have the same health care plan as the Republicans. lol
Oct. 5th, 2009 10:58 pm (UTC)
I lament to say I think you're right!
Oct. 2nd, 2009 10:00 am (UTC)
I am REQUIRED to get the flu shot, and possibly the pig flu shot as well. Seen two messages about the pig flu and am going to print it off and show it to the Chief if he insists he said its NOT mandatory.

*shakes head*

They started requiring us to get flu shots three years ago. I have gotten sick EVERY SINGLE YEAR SINCE THEN. WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT!?!?
Oct. 5th, 2009 10:50 pm (UTC)
I feel that you and I are allergic to these shots! I find it strange that I experienced so many of the flu viruses immediately after getting that stupid shot!

Tell them that you always catch the flu, thanks to the flu shots. If they still make you take it, then go blow in their face in hopes they catch it, also! :o)
Oct. 6th, 2009 01:53 am (UTC)
eh, its the USCG. I can't do that. I do that and I get a dishonorable discharge.

I got the flu shot.

That's a good speech!

A man who isn't afraid to say what's on his mind!

Oh My God!

A florida politician who isn't a complete embarassment!

someone owes me a coke!
Oct. 5th, 2009 10:51 pm (UTC)
He's wonderful, huh?!
Oct. 2nd, 2009 03:08 pm (UTC)
1. I plan on getting it, but first I have to get my regular flu shot. I'll probably do that on Monday. I haven't seen too much research on the H1N1 shot, but most of it tends to be on the positive side... as in very few side effects. I'd much rather have it than not, esp. because I'm around a lot of folks now (I'm back in college for an Electonics Engineering course).

I say better to be safe than sorry. I don't want to be stuck in bed and miss classes (or anything else that rocks for that matter). Your choice. :)

2. I like the man's gutsiness, but as a first term Congressman, he's going to have to pare it down a bit. I do laugh at the Repubs attempt to get him to apologize. What a joke. As if they haven't done anything similar, but this seems to happen on both sides of the aisle. It's nothing new, really.
Oct. 5th, 2009 11:28 pm (UTC)
1. My system just can't handle the flu shot, so I'll never get it again. I'm glad it works for you!

As for the SF shot, I'll never agree to get it, and will keep my fingers crossed that I don't catch it!

2. I don't think he should pare it down at all, because the Republicans sure don't. It's time a man finally gives them the same old medicine they've been dishing out.

I'm so happy that you're back in school. I know you'll excel in all your endeavors, Sweet Pie!
Oct. 2nd, 2009 04:55 pm (UTC)
Love the spider. :)
Oct. 5th, 2009 10:39 pm (UTC)
Glad you do, 'cuz I love it, too. I'll show more pics of my cute little spider in another post!
Oct. 3rd, 2009 02:31 am (UTC)
(1) Nope.. don't trust it either.

(2) What a great waste of time and poster boards. Hyperbole arguments like that don't resolve anything or provide anything constructive to the debate. In fact, it is destructive to the debate. All he did was make it political. All he pointed out was that Democrats like him support health care reform and Republicans don't. But, don't the Democrats hold congressional majority at this time? Yes they do! So, why the attack on Republicans?

Oct. 5th, 2009 11:32 pm (UTC)
1. I dreamt about you the other night. Seriously.

2. Yes, it is a waste of precious time, but it's necessary since the Republicans continue to spew horrible lies about Obama. Democrats need more men like Alan Grayson.

Why the attack on Republicans? Because they are repulsive!
Oct. 6th, 2009 10:36 am (UTC)
(1) Oh yeah? Do tell. :)

(2) How is that necessary in Congress? Congress is not a forum for campaigning. It is a place to resolve and tackle issues that concern the welfare of this nation. I wouldn't be suprised if both sides behave this way. It's just completely out of hand.

no flu shot for me

I have a friend who died because he was not insured and the hospital sent him home too early
Oct. 5th, 2009 10:38 pm (UTC)
I'm not surprised at all that your friend died. The insurance companies are demanding that patients be released immediately, even when they should still remain.

When my dad had that horrible operation, even I, who knows jack shit about the medical field, knew that 3 days was way too soon to realease him to fend for himself. Had I not been with him, night and day at his home to care for him, I don't believe he would have made it, because he couldn't even move, thanks to being sliced from his belly button all the way down to his private parts.

I had to attend to his catheter, feed him, change his diaper, and the list goes on, and on, for over a month.

The bill he got was close to $30,000.00, and that was only for his THREE day hospital stay. And some people have the audacity to say that this country has the best medical care in the world!

I'm so sorry about your friend!

Why do I bother???
I cannot believe that you have now started drooling over the crack pot Grayson. That stupid SOB actually put out the democrat plan and mis-labeled it as the republican plan.

IF You are wanting to really learn something I have two links for you.
First is a site called GradeGov.com

If any of you have the courage to go and look how your favorite congressman is actually seen by their constituents and the country as a whole. Check out Grayson to see just whjat an ass everyone feels he is.

Next to see what some of your precious democrat idiots are doing watch this CNN broadcast.

As for the flu shot, who cares its called cleaning out the gene pool. Just because you do or dont get it does not mean you will not get it. I am required to get it and its free for me so what the hell. Have not had the flu in decades.

Re: Why do I bother???
You bother, and I bother, because you know we both keep each others adrenalin going! heh heh

OMG! Fox! Lou Dobbs, along with that other asshole, is on my big time shit list! They repulse me to no end. I love the way Keith Olbermann mimics him on my FAVORITE channel, MSNBC!

Never! Never! Will I ever get the flu shot, and as for the SF shot, I'd rather wither away and get deathly ill so you can come and visit me in the hospital!! :o)

Wuave you Sweet Stuff!!

Re: Why do I bother???
Lou Dobbs is on CNN not FOX and Olberman is a pompous ass who cannot put three words together without lying his ass off! That is proven by the fact that You are only one of 6 people who even listen to his veniomous tripe. The fact that CNN still has him shows just how many viewers CNN even has. Noone wants to work for the Clinton News network any more. They are almost as desolate as (NBC) the National Barac Channel or (MSNBC) Mostly Shit No Body Cares.

Facts are still facts, and you have a chance to hear the truth!
