She's purely a gimmick designed to bring in the base; the base that hasn't done their research previously, and isn't going to start now.

She also possibly brings in some additional female support.

It may have been a good decision in the case that John McCain is just looking to be President, but it's a damned terrible decision if its purpose is to actually put America on the right track going forward.

Being a woman
You're right, it is a gimmick. All the focus is purposefully now on her, to hide McCain’s incompetence as a possible president.

Being a woman, I seriously doubt NORMAL women will vote Republican. She represents everything women despise, and that's a woman who DOES NOT represent them, but only her own personal ideals.

Scary. Given that she has said military conflict with Russia is an option. The thought of her being one bullet or heart attack away from running the US government is something that needs to be prevented.

it isn't
Her character assassination is minute in comparison to what the press did to Hillary Clinton.

When something's too good to be true, it isn't.

I don't like her. But then again, I don't like anyone in the contest this time around. Whichever side wins will be merely one of the two evils.

And, what is worse, we can't know which is the lesser evil.

throats
I see something dangerous in those eyes which I can’t quite put my finger on. There is zero compassion. Could it be a beastly thirst for power, the kind of power where she can shove her tyrannical methods down our throats?

I distrust her even more than you do
If you don't vote at all, she will MOST likely be your next Commander in Chief.

The woman is ruthless, and will say and do whatever she feels the people want to hear, and when she gets her way, she turns around, and throws an invisible birdie.

This is most troubling for me:
"Palin told the department heads they needed HER PERMISSION to talk to reporters. "She put a gag order on those people, something that you'd expect to find in the big city, not here,"

And this:

"Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the library how she could go about BANNING BOOKS," "The librarian was aghast." That woman, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that PALIN had THREATENED to FIRE Baker for NOT giving "full support" to the mayor.

1. She oputs life into McCain. I love it when she goes up the steps to the podium ahead of him (ladies before gentlemen) and then he follows her up with a big smile on his face. He really needs her.

2. She's obviously pretty naive to be President, very scary. I don't think McCain was really thinking of his country when he named her as VP candidate.

3. She's religious right which means anti-abortion, anti-gay, pro everyone being a Christian.

4. Thinking people won't vote for McCain just because of her being tyhe VP candidate.

Christian
1. I can't stand that smile on his face, when he follows her, instead of her following him. If, God forbade, he wins, will he continue to follow her? I think so, because as you said, he needs her. Without her, he's really nothing at all, but a man who is constantly confused about everything.

2. Yes, it sure is scary that this woman, who nobody knew ANYTHING about, only a few weeks ago, could very possibly come to be the Commander in Chief for this country.

3. Yes, she’s pro everything Christian, which should have nothing to do when governing the people. Personally, I'm FOR life, but just because I am, doesn't mean this woman who came from nowhere, has the right to dictate her beliefs on the rest of the female population.

Her religon i find disturbing and she's a backward thinker, religion should have nothing to do with politics and she should have no power to force her beliefs onto others, this is America not Iran.
She is a stunt being pulled by the McCain's campaign to gain attention to get votes and to keep people from finding out how clueless McCain is on many important matters that concern Americans.
America deserves better than McCain and Palin.
