They're both obnoxious blowhards. Geraldo kept talking over Bill, and Bill started yelling at Geraldo. Journalistic ethics for ya.

Also, Geraldo was wrong that this wouldn't have been a story under other circumstances. It wouldn't receive national attention, but a two-time DUI offender killing someone in an accident would certainly have made the local news. Couple this with the fact that he was illegal to begin with, and you get a "slow news day" story for the national media.

Well, Bill O'Reilly had always pissed me off.
He is usually, of course, the worst person in America.

Take a very CLOSE look at O'Reilly's eyes. They emit more and more EVIL as the months go by!!

What has you angry?

People talk about illegal immigrants committing crimes because there is no societal influence for them to either be held to account for their crimes or to be honestly rehabilitated.

IMO it is like trying to turn a dedicated shoplifter into a "frequent shopper".

I've made a new post
I've made a new post, expressing exactly what angered me when I saw this video.

I've always let it be known, how I feel about illegal immigrants entering this country, and that is that the moment they step into this country without going through the proper channels, they have broken our laws.

But this illegal DWI issue O'Reilly has brought up, has nothing to do with illegal aliens. DWI stands alone, and every possible solution should be found to avoid innocent people being killed because some irresponsible jerk decided to drive while intoxicated.

O'Reilly has turned this DWI issue into a racial issue, and he shouldn't have done it. He should have stuck to the DWI thing, since Mexican's are NOT the only ones in this country who have killed someone because they were drunk behind the seat of a car.

"Don't obscure a tragedy to make a cheap political point. It is a cheap political point and you know it!!"

Even if Geraldo can be an obnoxious blowhard, even an obnoxious blowhard can be right sometimes.

Geraldo as always been an "I AGREE" wet noodle
I agree with you 100%! Geraldo as always been an "I AGREE" wet noodle when it comes to O'Reilly, but I started noticing a change in him when O'Reilly still bad mouthed Anna Nicole Smith in death.

With this video, I see Geraldo Rivera in a whole different light, and he gets an A+ in my book on this one!

Geraldo hasn't given me much reason to appreciate him in a long, long time. This, however is good stuff. He earns some credit in my book.

I realize that most of us don't agree with O'Reilly. He does serve some good points though.

Either way, I respect him for this much and this much alone. He's not affraid to stand up for what he believes in.

No matter how passionate and angry Geraldo got with O'Reilly's "ignorance." O'Reilly stood by his beliefs. And wether or not you agree with him. That much you have to respect him for.

There's nothing to respect
There's nothing to respect Sea Dog.

Of course, Bill-O isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes. It's EASY being brave when busting a gut with rage, when you do it from your own backyard.

As much as I've always disliked Geraldo Rivera, he's the winner in my book with this one.

Hilarious exchange. I heard it this morning. I agree with Geraldo that the problem was drunk driving. The alien problem is a different problem (I support a solution that allows many aliens to become citizens). They're human beings who came here because they needed jobs. Let's help them.

Bill O'Reilly is part of the Fox network, a network so biased that only Bush supporters watch it.

That's exactly it
It sure was something, huh?!!

That's exactly it, the issue was drunk drivers, not illegal aliens.

I don't see the problem with the logic that if the illegal alien wasn't here, he couldn't have killed someone drunk driving.

Every illegal alien is a criminal, so they can't commit crimes at a lower rate when they are 100% criminals by being here illegally.

If he had argued that they commit violent crimes at a lower rate, that might be a valid point if it's true. But lots of crimes land a person in jail, non-violent and violent.

Shrug. Perhaps I fail to see where O'Reilly fucked up.

I tend to hate steamroller and straw man arguments. The bulk of his argument amounted to yelling things tantamount to "IF THERE WEREN'T ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS IN THIS COUNTRY SHE WOULDN'T HAVE DIED! IF PEOPLE DID THEIR JOBS TO KICK OUT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS MORE PEOPLE DON'T DIE FROM DRUNK DRIVERS!"

Though technically true, most of the deaths by drunk drivers are caused by our own citizenry. If the goal were to reduce drunk driving deaths, they would make for a better target to keep off the road than illegal aliens. It appears that a womans death was being used to push a viewpoint that's only a little bit removed from "They come here to steal our jobs and our women!".

I think O'Reilly has lost his mind but what is new! It is a drunk driving case and I think it should be handled that way and he should all so be treated as a illegal too just because he is you know what I think is that what is really sad is that no one should be drinking and driving and when their arrested there should be more done then!! no matter who it is! Even Bill O' Reilly, the nations self appointed God!

Typical O'Reilly hate-mongering for ratings. The only thing that surprises me is that I actually agree with Geraldo. I wrote him off years ago as media-whore ego-maniac with no actual moral fiber or ethics. Maybe he has some shred of substance buried somewhere inside the creep he seems to be most of the time.

Geraldo Rivera repugnant
Since I've always found Geraldo Rivera repugnant, I was pleasantly surprised by the way he stood up to O'Reilly, who NEVER lets any of his guest speak their minds if they differ from his.

Perhaps now, Rivera will grow up and give HIS views as HE sees them, instead of licking O'Reilly's rear end all the time to remain on his side.

I hate O'Reilly too but I want him to win against that stupidly insane piece of shit Rosie O'Donnell. Her whole insane 9/11 conspiracy theory makes me wonder if she is putting on an act or is she really that much of an imbecile.

"For the first time in history steel was melted by fire"

Of course htis must be true because the samurais got their swords from a magic tree on Mount Fuji.

Yeah Bill O'Reilly went kooky in his attacks, but I supported his kookiness against hers. And I am actually more aligned with Rosie's politics than his.

Just where did Rosie O'Donnell get her degree in engineering and physics? Is it possibly the same school Barbra Streisand got her degree in political science?
