Duoraven Survey Questions

[info]duoraven came up with a survey that I found most interesting!

I'd very much appreciate if you'd participate in taking it.

Here are the questions, and I'm 1st because I love butting in lines! :o)

1. Would you ever play Russian Roulette (odds of being killed are 1 in 6) for $10 mil?

2. If you were attracted to someone you suspected might have HIV/AIDS, how sure would you have to be (0-100%) that you would not get it before you would have sex with them (assume for this question they would willingly have sex with you, and they either do not know if they have HIV/AIDS or would not tell you)?

1. For 10 mil? Hell yes!!

2. I would have to be 100% sure. If I suspected he might have HIV/AIDS, there's no way in hell I'd ever have sex with him!

1. Already did it as a kid, and didn't make any money from it.

2. I would have to be 100%, but it wouldn't matter because i wouldn't have sex with them anyways. never had an STD, and not looking for anything like that now.
Mar. 15th, 2007 01:08 am (UTC)
Why in the world would you play Russian roulette for free!! I'd have to be well compensated for the chance of life or death.

I'd even shoot for ONE lousy MIL!! :o)
Mar. 14th, 2007 11:14 pm (UTC)
#1. For 10 million? Yes.
#2. The risk of a man getting HIV/AIDS from a woman is pretty small, so provided that we're using protection I wouldn't be overly concerned about it.
Mar. 15th, 2007 01:10 am (UTC)
I hate to even imagine what 10 MIL would accomplish in my life! Where's the gun!! :o)
Mar. 14th, 2007 11:15 pm (UTC)
1. No.
2. 99.9%. There is nothing in this world that is 100%. :)
Mar. 16th, 2007 05:08 am (UTC)
1. YES, YES, YES! :o)

2. Come to think about it, I think you're right!
Mar. 14th, 2007 11:21 pm (UTC)
my life is worth WAY more than $10 million....money does not sl=olve as many problmes as most people think....no way...

And I agree...100%...I mean...I guess 99% I have sex and there is always a chance of contracting it....if I want 100% security the only way would be abstinence....make sense? So 99%

I honestly do believe I'd take the chance. If I were unlucky enough to end up blasting my brains all over the place, I really wouldn't know it, would I?! heh heh

Mar. 14th, 2007 11:48 pm (UTC)
Well you are playing russian roulette in either scenario. Only difference is that i would want 10 mill for trying to sleep with someone i thought was infected. I'm gonna tell you right now that i would use 2 condoms when they weren't looking and use very shallow strokes hehe. then i would pour alcohol and peroxide on the surface of the condom before removing it. Well i would also be the one on the top as well.
Mar. 16th, 2007 12:45 pm (UTC)
Perhaps dipping the condom in rubbing alcohol might be best for added protection! haaaaa

Of the two evils, I'd take RR. One in 6 sound like promising odds to me, for a life time of happiness! If I lost, I never know I did, huh?! :o)

ninjaguydan's answers...
1-I'd take the gun, add more bullets and take the ten million dollars at gunpoint.

2-all I need is a rumour and I'm out. an ounce of prevention is worth not getting AIDS..

Re: ninjaguydan's answers...
1. What a grand idea!

2. The word AIDS has to be the most frightening word in the world!

1. No. Even for $10 million it's not worth the risk to me of leaving my kids motherless.

2. I wouldn't risk that either.
Mar. 15th, 2007 03:07 am (UTC)
1. Of course you wouldn't! A mother is worth more than all the gold in the world to her children!

2. Even if I were madly in love with the guy, I wouldn't take the chance either.
Mar. 15th, 2007 12:43 am (UTC)
1) Never, my life is worth way more than 10M to me and my kids
2) If using all the appropriate precautions I think it would be an acceptable risk. By this I mean that we're assuming that HIV transmission can be prevented almost 100% by appropriate precautions. I would not engage in risky sex just because I wanted sex.
Mar. 15th, 2007 01:06 am (UTC)
1. I don't blame you for not doing it, because of your kids. I would take the chance, because I'm single and don't have any kids, therefore, I'd really would nothing to lose.

appreciate if you'd participate
Interesting questions.

1. As long as I'm single, with no dependents, I'd consider it. However, as a distrustful person, I'd probably be too suspicious of the circumstances to go ahead with it (basically, I can't bring myself to trust a person who's got ten million to spend on getting somebody else to play that sort of game.)

2. If it's just somebody I'm attracted to, I'd have to be 95% sure. But if we're truly in love with each other, 0%. I'd take precautions, but hey, nobody lives forever; I'd prefer a shortened life with her, than a long life without.

Lord, that sounds mushy! I should write greeting cards.

Re: appreciate if you'd participate
1. I'm most distrustful, also! I'd want to see the entire 10 mil on the table, plus I'd make sure all my brother's were present! :o)

2. No Paul, you don't sound mushy!
Mar. 15th, 2007 01:06 am (UTC)
1.no, i've got plans in this life. "and i've got the mindset that the whole world needs me..."

2.i don't have sex with people i don't have some good idea of their sexual history. safe sex rules.

Mar. 15th, 2007 02:59 am (UTC)
Yes, safe sex rules.

If a person is unlucky and loses by playing Russian roulette, at least he dies instantly.

The consequences could be a long and agonizing death when a person has sex with whomever.

Knowing my luck??!!!

Um. . .1. No.

and um. . 2. . .absolutely not.

I'd find the bullet and if he didn't have it, SOMETHING would happen from the test to when he got to me, and I'd get it. . .

knowing my luck. . .lol.

Mar. 16th, 2007 01:56 am (UTC)
# 1, I'd do it. If I lost, aww what the heck! :o)
Mar. 15th, 2007 01:27 am (UTC)
1. Never would I do it.

2. I was in such a position and chose not to do it.
Mar. 15th, 2007 02:06 am (UTC)
2. My Knight in Shining Armor, I'm sorry you found yourself in such a situation. I can't imagine the turmoil you must have gone through, if deep feelings were felt for the person.

I'm glad you chose life.

Mar. 15th, 2007 03:42 am (UTC)
Hmmm I find this interesting.

1) No, would not do it. My life is worth more than $10 million to me.

2) You ask the wrong person and the wrong question. Odds of getting HIV/AIDS heterosexually, from female to male, assuming oral and genital sex with good lubrication, is approximately 8000 to 1 per encounter. That is better than 99% chance that one won't get it from unprotected sex. If one uses protection properly, then the odds get even better. Condoms, when used properly, are more than 99% effective. Put the two together and one is safer having protected sex with a woman with HIV/AIDS than one is walking in the rain.

A better question would be "Would you have unprotected sex with someone you thought might have HIV/AIDS?"
Mar. 15th, 2007 03:47 am (UTC)
Oh, and while I am thinking about it, the average life expectancy of a person with HIV/AIDS is currently 30 years. If I were to contract it tomorrow, I would only shorten my life by about 10 years, and that is assuming that I would live that long and that a cure is not found.

It also assumes I am not part of the 10%+/- 5% part of the caucasian population with a partial, but substantial, immunity to HIV thanks to a modified GCCR5 cell surface protien.

Yes, I know a lot about HIV/AIDS. Thank you, science journal Protein and various other resources.

1.Well I had a good friend do it and he lost a lot more then ten mill he lost the rest of his life who knows what he could of done with it! How I wish he were still here to make me laugh! And piss me off too!
So NO!! You know money is just not that important to me.

2. You know I think 2 and 1 are the same question. So I would have to say NO! To me sex is a gift that you give and share with your love so they do go together, but Love is not Sex and when you love someone, the time it would take to find out if they or you had an STD is nothing if there is Love. But you know this about me I do not believe in casual sex. It has to be real!

I don't know. Question 1 has me vascillating back and forth. Part of me wants to be the risk-taker and go for the gold, but another part of me is that same nervous guy who wears all black all the time and has been obsessed with his own mortality since age 2 (no, I'm not kidding). I guess if you really look at it, there's only a 1 in 6 chance, but I'm an old D&D player, and I know how often that 1 turns up when you don't want it to. God damn, am I a nerd. Hell, I don't even play the lottery, and it has better chances. Wait, no it doesn't, now that I think of it.

As far as the HIV thing goes, I'd take the chance to a certain extent, but I'd certainly use protection. I mean, it's not 100%, but it's better than flying down the chute naked, if you know what I mean. And to a certain extent, it depends on the other person, too. Is it someone I could turn down and look at myself in the mirror the next day and say, "you made the right choice," or is it someone who the next day I'd say, "you blew it, jerkoff. I hope you're happy"?

I guess I overanalyze things, which is sometimes my biggest flaw.

So I guess I'll say that for #1, I'd have to say yes, but the odds are probably against me, since I know how the dice fall in most cases like this.

For #2, I'd have to say I would, but it would have to be with someone really special. Or at least special to me. I certainly wouldn't waste it on some dipshit supermodel. My tastes are a little less superficial than that. Wait, no they aren't. I just don't think supermodels are hot.

Am I getting into another one of those long, drawn-out diatribes again?

Okay, I'll shut up now.

Lets you and I never get the opportunity to make a decision like that! 100 mil would be kind of tempting, huh!!!

We have the Texas Lotto here in Texas, and I believe I've bought a total of maybe to tickets. I'm not a gambler at all, when it comes to spending my money.

I went to Vegas for the first time about a year ago, and ended up spending a total of on QUARTER as I was leaving the place! Yet, playing RR for so much money sounds pretty darn tempting to me. Hell, I'd only be betting my brains!! haaaaaa

"Flying down the chute naked" oh how funny!!! Duh, I had to stop and think what you meant by that little phrase. I tell 'ya, I ain't too bright!

I think number 2 is too grave a chance to take, and just wouldn't take the gamble at all. If I suspected the guy had the disease, then that would tell me automatically that he was known for screwing every Tomasina, Darlena, and Helen! :o)
