1. I left early Monday morning of last week to San Antonio, and got back Saturday night. I made the mistake of driving over there to save money, instead of taking a plane, as I have done for the past two years. This is the last time I drive over there, because it was such a long, tiring, and dreary drive. It seemed I'd never get there. Never again! Next year, I'll fly.
I stayed at the same little motel in Kenedy, Texas, which is own by some people from India. I'm not going to repeat myself, because I did the exact same thing I did last year, and the year before last, and the only difference is that one of the inmates that has had me on his list, will be getting out by the end of this year, which makes me very happy for him. We will never meet again, and when I go again next year, I'll go see his replacement.
I also decided to stay a few more days in my motel, enjoying the solitude, watching TV, and tinkering with my laptop.

I did go to the Alamo and River Walk in San Antonio, and rode in one of the boats. I took a few pictures of the Alamo and the River Walk and of a beautiful bronze statue at the Army base. I'll post them later.
2. I had a very disturbing dream a couple of weeks ago, about one of my cats being run over in front of my house. The cat was gray, and was thrashing around in agony. The nightmare became real this morning. When I got in my car to leave for work, I saw one of my cats dead on the street. I went to see it, and he was spattered from head to tail on the pavement. I had to go grab a shovel and literally scrape it off the road to put him in a little cardboard box. There was one difference from the nightmare I'd had before, this cat wasn't gray, but yellow. I'm very upset.
It was the yellow one at the bottom of the picture, that's looking straight at me. He was one of the three, and the last of the 17 cats I barely had spayed and micro-chipped about 2 weeks ago.
I believe I have 15 cats left. 14? 16? I've lost count! How I wish I didn't have cats, because it's impossible to keep them confined like you can with dogs. It's more than I can bare when I lose one!
