Head injury update

1. Although, I'm doing much better, the injury still feels tender when I touch it, and part of my forehead is still an odd color.

2. How strange that last year, it never got cold around here. Not so this year, because it is very cold, and I love it! I've finally had the opportunity to wear my fabulous black wool coat I bought the year before last at the 2nd hand store! It did snow about 2 weeks ago, but not nearly enough to make even a midget of a snowman! :o(

3. Have you ever heard of the legend of La Llorona?

When I was a little girl, my Mom would hold me in her arms and tell me legends and lore, and La Llorona was, and still is, among my favorites.

Here you can read this interesting legend about La Llorna.

4. If this isn't cause for arrest, then what is?! Am I the only one who’s noticed that these cowardly bullies only become courageous when they travel in groups of 3 or more? These loathsome pieces of dung should have been arrested immediately!

3 Female Teens Charged After Video of Them Beating 12-Year-Old Girl Surfaces

5. Why do the women teachers get a mere slap on the wrist, and men a slap in the slammer, for committing the SAME sexual crime? I personally do not feel it's fair.

in regards to point 4, bullies are cowards. they only attack those who they perceive as weak or roam in packs.

and i'm so glad that someone else agrees with me on the double standard of female pedophiles.

when guys do this shit, society is ready to castrate them and tar and feather them. women do the same thing and they get everyone's sympathy. a predator is predator, doesn't matter the gender.

I hope that made you smile. And that you feel better real soon but you did one heck of a job on your self. Keep safe!

2.Snow Snow Snow you know I like the Snow better then the cold around here it has been below zero for the last week and to tell you the truth most of the snow has stayed up in the mountains. And did you get the snowman I sent you or did he melt hahaha…
3.When I was down in Santa Fe few years back I heard about La Llorona we have many tails of ghosts around here in Montana I will have to find some links for you to read. I remember reading once about the weeping woman of Yellowstone

4.The link you put up would not work for me ;o( I have to agree with neo_prodigy Bullies are cowards. I remember when I was a kid I would get beat up every night coming home from school by the same bunch of kids I was the skinniest kid you ever seen in your life, but this is along story and I wont go in to that here maybe in my journal some time.

5.You know in some ways I think that the young men in these cases are looked on as the ones that did some thing wrong or as if their lucky to have a older woman want then, but your right it is wrong.

Well keep safe and warm my little hot chilly pepper ;o)
You know maybe I should bring over some Hot chocolate ((Sugar free)) that is and we can cuddle up and keep each other warm =o)

I see two reasons why the public treats women teachers who have sex with their students differently than men.

First of all, I think it comes down to the way teenage boys and girls are viewed differently. If you've got a fourteen year old girl and a fourteen year old boy, the speech their father gives them about sex is going to be completely different. The girl is to be protected from lecherous boys. She's taught to wait until she's married and to view sex as something special and precious and to be shared by adults in long term relationships. Boys are taught (maybe not officially, but certainly through example and implication) to "Go get em, Tiger!" It's expected (and even encouraged) that teenage boys are going to be going after girls and trying to get into their pants.

Plus, a girl's young life can be ruined by sex if she gets pregnant. Or at very least, changed drastically. A teenage boy doesn't have the same concerns. Sure, he MIGHT be expected to take responsibility for the child, if it goes to term, but even then, it's not nearly the responsibility and life changing metamorphosis a young girl would go through. Certainly if it's an adult/adolescent situation, the "father" of the baby is most likely not going to be an actual father figure to that child, but the girl will be a mother for the rest of her life.

And if you ask the average 14 year old boy if he wants to have sex with his hot English teacher, chances are he'll say "Oh hell yes!" where as the average girl will probably not be so gung-ho about it.

That's the mentality towards boys and girls. Girls have a lot more to lose and boys are treated like aspiring pussy hounds. So if a hot female teacher has sex with a teenage boy, it's considered almost like a score for the boy. Where as if a male teacher has sex with a teenage girl, it's considered rape and a violation. And I've been a teenage boy, and I've had hot teachers before, and if I could go back and have sex with those hot teachers, I certainly would.

The other side of the coin is the way that adult male and female sexuality is viewed by out society. Females sexuality is mysterious and sought after. Men (whether they admit it or not) WANT women to be sexually deviant. It's hot. Any indication that a woman is kinky... even to the point of violating social taboos... is viewed as a good thing. Maybe not a RIGHT thing, but a desirable thing. It's unspoken, but it's true.
Male deviant sexuality is seen in the exact opposite way. It's considered sick and perverted and dangerous. So if a female teacher (especially if she's attractive) shows signs of deviant sexuality, it's hard to punish her for that, because it's what many guys secretly WANT women to be like, in some form or another. But if a guy is a sexual deviant, they go to jail for years and are kept off the street so they don't damage people with their sexual perversions.

It's a double standard, and it's not entirely fair, but I can understand why it exists. And honestly, I'm much more comfortable with the idea of a woman seducing a teenage boy than a man seducing a teenage girl. It's ingrained into our psyche.

I'll call it a real double standard when I see guys being groped and filmed while choking on a few ounces of cum.
Jan. 18th, 2007 03:25 pm (UTC)
Thanks, I can now see the reasoning as to why the punishment is so much harsher toward men. But if the underage girl has consensual sex with her male teacher, as does the underage boy with his female teacher, then I feel the punishment should be equal.

When the male teacher is caught, he goes to prison and his life is ruined, but when a female teacher commits the same crime, she instantly becomes famous in a good way, and I feel this is not fair.

The legend while a classic ghost story is horrifying. If I told that to my girls they wouldn't ever go swimming again..LOL! Maybe if her childrens death were an accident but even then her snatching the people up in a violent rage and drowning them..... *shudders*...lol.

I hope you are doing better. That wound sounds SO nasty and horrible. I can't imagine that you managed to get back up and move. Ouch!! Feel better soon.

I hate cold...lol.

As far as the double standard... I can sum up where it came from...
"Mrs. Robinson"! Horrid but true. Also the double standard comes from the view of teenage boys and girls behavior and thought processes.

Jan. 18th, 2007 02:57 pm (UTC)
Yes, it is a terrifying tale, that's why I was such a good little girl with Mom. Problem is, just as soon as I found out it was only a tale, I became a bad girl! :o)

The double standard came from Mrs. Robinson? Who is Mrs. Robinson?

This was a pretty creepy movie about La Llorona. Parts of the movie were quite unsettling

I had no idea they'd made a movie of La Llorona!

I must see it!
