Tooting my horn here! I made about 11 of these
pizzas from scratch for Christmas! YAY!

Toppings: Italian sausage, black olives,
mushrooms, jalapenos and pepperoni

This is the only gift I gave friends and family for Christmas.
I bought these felt bags and filled them with pecans from my
pecan trees and a 10 dollar bill.

I've got 6 of these pecan trees. I've already started
selling little bags of pecans around here! YAY!

Hope you all had a very nice Christmas!

The crust your own work, too? I remember trying to put together pizzas when I was younger, using a recipe from Boy's Life magazine. I wasn't anywhere near as skilled as you obviously are, but what can I say, I was twelve!

Yes it is. I made the crust with yeast. It's so simple and fast to make, much faster than yeast bread, and for only few pennies! I made the sauce, also.

You were way too young. You should try it again. I measure the heat of the liquid with my little pinky!

Well, except for the bits of dead animals on it, it looks both lovely and delicious. Sort of like you...

But the bids of the dead animals is what makes it soooo YUMMY! :o)

Thank you Sweety Pie!

Can you give a breakdown of how you make the pizza? I would love to make one with italian sausage on it.Well either that or i will have to come down there and just eat one you made cause that looks better than something from dominos or pizza hut.

This is an excellent recipe for dough. I use my pinky as a thermometer. The water should feel comfortably VERY warm to your finger (IT’S VERY IMPORTANT YOU GET THE RIGHT TEMPERATURE). Believe it or not, I place the dough in a big bowl, and then place it on a heating pad to get it to rise. I have never tried freezing it, because I prefer rolling the dough out just as soon as I make it and it gets to room temperature.

I cook the Italian sausage first, then slice it when it cools, and add it to the pizza, along with everything else before I put it in the oven.

After you've rolled it out, pour the pizza sauce over it, then sprinkle the cheese, and add toppings of your choice. I like mine with a few pineapple chunks.

I buy large quantities of the pepperoni and Italian sausage at Sam's and just freeze them in small zip lock baggies. Each pizza comes out much more delicious than the ones you buy, and the cost of each pizza is unbelievably inexpensive!

Once you perfect the liquid temperatures, you'll be able to make yeast bread. I make the most delicious yeast bread using BEER as the liquid.

Thank you, and thank you for the lovely Christmas card!! I hope you got mine, too.

It's the most rewarding experience to pull off a pecan from the tree. It's kind of like touching the face of God.

Pecan pie is my 2nd favorite pie! I think I'll try making one, too, but every time I've made pie crust, it just doesn't come out good at all.
