EBAY & BROKEN TREASURE, SMOKE,
PROBATE WILL, DEAD CAT, NEW CAT

1. I placed the figurine that I bought at the 2nd hand store for a couple of bucks, for bids on Ebay a little over a week ago. Starting bid was $15.00. The bids were up to $24.00 by the 6th day.

Guess what I did? I somehow dropped the figurine, breaking a big chunk off its base!! :o(

I just can’t believe I did this! Grrrr!!

2. Saturday: I do believe I was destined to die this past Saturday, and it’s a miracle I was able to slam the door shut on Mr. Death!!

These are the things that happened to me on Saturday:

I quit drinking coffee some months ago. I sometimes go with friends to Barnes and Nobles, and they all enjoy drinking a cup of coffee. Well, I’m back to drinking it again because I found that I was missing out on something I really loved and enjoy.

Yesterday morning, it happened again. I was at my computer and sipping on my delicious hot cup of coffee, when it went down the wrong tube, and came close to death from the chocking on it! I totally destroyed my keyboard, because I spit the coffee out and it landed on my keyboard! As I tried for dear life to catch my breath, I spilt some of it from my coffee mug onto my keyboard. Again I ran to the bathroom! I do believe my heart almost exploded from the horrible coughing I did, and the gasping for air! This has happened to me on about three different occasions and can't understand why it happens when I drink coffee!

3. Saturday: Grandpa was working outside, way in the back of the backyard. I was alone in the house.

All the doors were shut in the house because it was cold.

I went and placed two strips of bacon and slices of jalapenos in a pan and placed a lid on it, then put the flame full blast, with intentions of lowering the heat after a little while. Something distracted me and I left the kitchen without lowering the flame. I then went and took a shower. When I opened the door to the bathroom, I saw the entire house engulfed in smoke, so much smoke that I couldn’t see in front of me. I ran all over the house trying to find Jewely, Panchito and Davy, I grabbed them, ran to the kitchen, and as I did, I ran straight into an opened kitchen cabinet, hitting a little bit of my temple, and the entire side of my shoulder and chest area, and nearly knocked myself out. I somehow made it to the door and ran outside. I ran back inside and opened the front and den door, and turned on all the ceiling fans. I then ran out as fast as I could because of the horrible smoke, then I ran down the basement and grabbed a couple of big fans and plugged them and got them all going.

I had to stay outside for close to an hour until the smoke would all come out of the house.

The house smelled horrible, and Grandpa and I had to scrub everything we could with Clorox and Pine Sol.

No, I don’t have smoke alarms, but will go buy a couple. It’s a miracle my house didn’t burn down, but I honestly believe it would have, had I stayed just a few more seconds taking my shower, and I would have been trapped because I have wrought iron bars on every single window to the house. I have hardwood floors, and just about everything in the house is wood, including the basement.

Be careful kids, don’t ever do as I did, and make sure you have your smoke alarms working!! Oh, and be careful how you sip your coffee, because if you don’t, you could very possibly choked to death, too!!

4. A Will and Probate - This is what happened:

Close to four years ago, a very distant elderly relative passed away, and left his house to 3 people in his will. I am one of these people in the will. The house is small and run down, but has a pretty good property value because it’s on a commercial zone, and is pretty close to the old house I bought a while ago, because it is close to the medical school that’s being built. The only problem right now for me is that continued funding for the medical school has come to a halt. I know that should the school be completed someday, the property value on the old house I’m renting out, and this one that was left in the will, will greatly go up in value.

I knew right away that I was one of the beneficiaries, and assumed that the other 2 people had had it probated. They never did. A daughter of one of the two people has been living in the house for free, but has been paying the property taxes.

I recently called the two people who are in the will, and told them that I was interested in buying them out and they agreed verbally.

Now, one of the three who inherited the house has passed away.

I just got back from seeing my lawyer. He told me that since the house had never been probated, (time limit is 4 years after death) it wasn’t going to be so easy to buy it. He had asked me to take him the will, the death certificate of the man who left us his house, and the death certificate of the person who recently died, and the address of the other person who is still living, which I did.

Very bad news. This thing has turned into a monster, because the house was not probated when it was suppose to. Now, it’s as if the man who left us the house, never made a will, because now the wife and three kids of the guy who recently passed away, are involved, and so are two other brothers and sisters of the elderly man who left the three of us the house.

My lawyer will send them all a letter, and if they don’t agree, I’ll have to take them to court, and it will be very expensive. The only good thing about this is that the other living person on the will has agreed to divide the bill among the two of us.

Warning to all of you! You MUST have a will probated within FOUR years, or else you're going to find yourself with a great big expensive headache!

Let me see what happens.

5. I went out yesterday morning to feed my cats, and found one of them dead in one of the little pet pads I have for them. I have no idea why she died, because there were no signs of injury. It did get very cold that night. Is it possible she died because of the cold?

I have a dog house on the porch for them, which is filled with big throw pillows. Right before I left for work, I told Grandpa to go out in the back and grab all the old throw rugs and put them on the front porch. The porch looks awful, but I don't care. I'll have him take them away just as soon as it gets a little warmer.

I told my girlfriend Lolly, who’s as big an animal lover as I am, about this, and she told me I was a very irresponsible pet owner because this had happened, but what else could I have done? As much as I love them all, there's no way I could let 16 stray cats inside my house!

By and by, today I found a BRAND NEW HUGE cat making its home on my porch, so I still have SIXTEEN cats!!! If he/she decides to stay, I'll have to pull out the trapper and have it spayed or neutered. The 5 kittens are just about ready to take to the vet to be fixed. I DREAD it! WHY ME, LORD??!!

Thank you! I'm going to buy them this Saturday.

Because of my stupidity, I was given a second chance, and I hope everybody who reads this, will go buy them, and if they already have them, make sure the battery's are good, too.

You need a cover for your keyboard. Staples should be able to
help you out. They have an arrangement where they sell the
kit for ordering to you, you fill in the information and mail it to the company that makes the cover. It is a custom cover for your keyboard. Works great - you can even pee on it if you feel like you want to.

I really have to look into it, because this is the second time I've destroyed a keyboard. The first time I spilt some Pepsi which made the keys stick like glue!

Hugs back to you! :o)

You're such a saint. You're the Mother Teresa of felines

Sorry about all the legal hassles. You're best tested, so be focused and don't let all the negativity beat you up. This is a test to see how well you perform under aggravation...or something

Good thing you didn't die. I'd have a playgirl-size hole in my life. Take care of yourself, my dear

I make many mistakes in this life, and when I learn first hand about them because of stupidity, I make sure to share the experiences with all of you.

Important lesson to learn: Should you ever be the benefactor of a Will, be sure to go have it probated within 4 years from the person's death.

I truly believe I'll be on this earth for a long time. After all, I do have 9 lives! Meow! ;o)

Get several smoke detectors, you need more than one in any house.

We all have near misses from time to time, you seem to have more than your share at times.

Be careful. grin...

I'll buy those smoke alarms on Saturday for sure.

I'm glad it happened because now I'm very much aware of what can happen, and what makes if much more dangerous is that I have iron bars on all my windows.

Yes, I've had many near misses, but not to worry, because I'm part cat, and I still have 7 lives left!! hah! :o)

3. Yes it is a good Idea to have smoke alarms and a fire extinguisher too
And be careful what would I do with out you, Love You Lots
Sending a big {{{HUG}}}

4. And good Luck with the Will and Probate on the house. My sister just bought a house that had not been probated for all most ten years and she had to find everyone that had a claim on it and some of them did not know they had a claim.
When they did they started thinking how much money they would make but when they found out how much the taxes and up keep would be they sold to her.
Hope it all works out Sunshine

5. Sorry to hear Savanah but you know some times cats just die and how old was the cat anyway and how cold was it? You know with that many cats sometimes they get sick and you don’t know it all you can do is keep a eye on the rest of them and as far as why a new cat it is because that you have food out and everyone that does not want to pay for that chip is dropping off there cats and you have to big of a Heart and at some time you are going to have to say to your self that you can not take care of all of them I think you know this!

Well keep yourself well! and safe!
this was all most like taking a test I hope I passed ;o)Love You!
