1. The same guy that invited me to his Father’s Day party invited me to go to a wedding anniversary gathering last night. I know I had vowed I would not go out with him again, but I decided to accept because I was bored, and agreed that he could pick me up at my home this time, instead of my meeting him there.
I had the best time ever! A bunch of us girls, and children danced with one another to my favorite, Cha-Cha Slide. You get into a line, and you really don’t dance with anybody, you just do exactly what the song says. Speak about the best exercise ever!
Then this man who must have been at least 80 years old asked me to dance. I thought to myself, as he led me to the dance floor, that he’d probably be pooped out in a couple of seconds. Was I WRONG! This man turned out to be the best dancer in the world, and we danced until the party ended! We danced Cumbia’s, Corrida’s, Salsa, Meringue, and Cha Cha’s! This man was dressed as a cowboy, and even wore a cowboy hat. It had been such a long time since I’d enjoyed myself so much, and never had I danced as perfectly, almost like a professional dancer, thanks to the wonderful man!
I am positive I will never be invited ever again to anything by my date, because when he DROPPED me off at my house, he didn’t even say bye! He was very upset because I spent the whole time dancing with all the girls and that wonderful man. The only thing I regret is that I’ll never see that excellent dancer and FUN man again!
Oh, and the food they served was great, except for the rice!
This is the best dancer in the world who danced with me until the party ended! :o)
2. I had some pretty sad and ugly dreams last night. I rarely ever remember dreams, but this one was so vivid, and I've been carrying them with me since I woke up this morning.
I dreamt that my mother was alive. I was so happy. Then I dreamt that I had died. I don't know how it was that I had come to die. My spirit came back to earth, and I saw my house with my adopted Grandpa, and all of my little animals dead, because I wasn't around to provide for them anymore. Must have been the food I ate at the party which were responsible for these strange dreams I had last night.
It hadn't dawned on me, until I had these dreams, that too many little lives depend on me. I must take better care of myself for their sake!
I have no idea how this LJ friend and I crossed paths in cyberspace, but I am thrilled that we did!
His name is Timothy Wright, and he's an author.
I decided to buy his book, Childish Things, and I'm so glad I did, because it is delightful. This fascinating story of fantasy is very well written, and truly is the kind of book for those who believe children CAN create magic, and in fact, will take you into a flight of the imagination of those wonderful feelings you once had as a child!
Childish Things is not only an excellent book for adults, but for parents to read as a bedtime story for children.
I totally recommend you buy book!
