Remember when I made a post about THE GARGOYLES a while back? Well, I just had to go back and take closer pics of that place. I really got close this time, in fact, I actually wondered onto the property and started taking close up pictures of these weird and wonderful things I've come to call Gargoyles. I KNOW they are not Gargoyles, but this is what I have chosen to call them, because I just don't know what in the world they are! Ever since I first saw these monstrosities, I haven't been able to get them out of my mind because I found them so very fascinating. I parked my car across the street and quietly crept along on my tippy toes all the way to the house and started taking pictures as swiftly as I could, before the owner would find me there. I went across to the back side of the house and found an enclosed area. I tried to climb the fence, but decided not to do it. I just may, someday, get the courage to go back and climb it! I do so want to see what outlandish goodies are there! I just know there are!

This is just too much of an ADVENTURE for me, and maybe someday, I'll muster up some guts to go and knock on the door and ask the person to give me some information as to why he/she has them there, and what they're suppose to be! If I should ever do this, I'll share the info. with you!

Hey, Goliath. How many Gargoyles does
it take to screw in a light bulb?"
- The Reckoning

Just look at all the intricate details of these pictures. I know they all signify something, but I wonder what!

I must find out! I MUST!

Oh, and wait until I show you next time, all the pictures I took at this OLD cemetery! As I was walking around, my foot actually ruptured the earth and my foot went straight down into one grave. So SPOOKY and I so did loved it! One of these nights, I'm going to go back with my digital camera and spend the night there. I just KNOW there are ghosts out there, and maybe if I'm very lucky, I'll see one and take its picture! Now wouldn't that be fun! I'm NOT kidding; I AM going to do this!

There's nothing like a ghost story. They're universal.
It captures people's imagination. It's ancient, mythic.
It's part of our DNA. There's something in there that's
psychically a part of us because everyone responds so instantly.
- Murray Abraham

PLEASE give me some input on my GARGOYLES!
PLEASE tell me, do you BELIEVE in ghosts?!

See that chain link fense?
I'm going to climb over it someday, 'cause
I know there's more stuff in the back!

"They killed me.
I am a ghost."
- Riefenstahl

"I am continuously changing. I am not today
who I was yesterday, nor will I be tomorrow
that that I am today. There is NO "in between"
apparatus to my personality."
- Playgirl

No, I've never seen anyone around there.
Yes, they seem to be my kind of people, too.
I'd really love to meet them! Knowing myself,
I will someday just walk up to the door and
start knocking! I do so want to see who they

The main statue is very tall and HUGE!

They seem to have good dental practices. Pretty difficult
to say anything else positive about them.
I wouldn't consider asking for a date unless we were escorted.
I'm not as brave as you are.

Yeah! They sure do have great teeth don't they?

Well, if you should someday not see anymore of Playgirl's posts, P-L-E-A-S-E dial 911!!! Or, if you should see an extra little statue there, P-L-E-A-S-E call it to someones attention, and FAST!

I'm willing to bet that they will have piercings and tattoos and be very much into the Spiritual Body Modification movement.

The statues are grotesquely beautiful. I find them quite interesting. I've wondered ever since the first picture, and now I know how they look to a certain degree...

Very cool!!! Thanks for the post! :D

The teeth and the tongue with the embedded marbles, seem to be the signify something, don't they?

When I first drove by there and saw them, I thought they were the most horrible things I'd ever seen, but now, I find them breathtakingly beautiful, too. I am so curious to find out everything I can about them.

I imagine that the homeowner is used to people taking those pics. I believe that artist/sculptor who made those is the one who lives in that house.

I must find out. Someday I'll drop by and try to contact whomever lives there. I just hope it won't a mean Boogeyman!

It looks like a Japanese ghost. Like what they build to seal battlegrounds or sometimes for protection.
Apr. 7th, 2006 01:29 am (UTC)
I've never seen a Japanese ghost. Sure would like to see one to compare.

Very cool art. I love these gargoyles.
Apr. 7th, 2006 01:25 am (UTC)
You should see them close up in person. Overwhelming!
Apr. 7th, 2006 02:50 am (UTC)
my god go knock on the door!
find out more... and take more pics...

those things are great!
Apr. 8th, 2006 12:17 am (UTC)
Now I know what they meant by that old cliché, Curiosity Killed the Cat, I just hope I don't end up a dead kitty cat myself!

When I get enough guts, I'll go knock on the door!
Apr. 7th, 2006 04:28 am (UTC)
yes I do beleive, but they're rarely found in graveyard..

also the statues are great.. damned nifty darlin'
Apr. 7th, 2006 11:46 pm (UTC)
I believe in them, too! In fact, I believe in
so many other things most people don't.

Why are ghosts rarely found in cemetery's?
Would you believe me if I told you I have
a couple of them living at my house??!

Those statues are nifty, and so unique!

great closeups
now that i was able to see the figure in detail, i must say that its a wonderful piece of art. i didnt realize the lizardlike creatures actually had faces. if i were to give these works of art a name, i would name the entire series- "men's nightmares".
Apr. 7th, 2006 11:54 pm (UTC)
These pictures just don’t do them justice! The big one in front of the house is at least 10 ft. tall.

Have you tried to take anymore pictures of ghosts?

What a mystery they are!
Apr. 7th, 2006 05:00 am (UTC)
Those things don't come to life at night do they?

If they do, I want to be around! haaaa
Aren't they something?!

Looking at that sculpture there are two guarantees I can give you.

1) Who ever crafted that is smoking some really strong shit.

2) I bet all the local winos have learned to cross to the other side of the street. I'd hate to meet that on a dark night with a load on.

It reminds me of something, and I can't quite put my finger on it.

Loving hugs and a kiss, but only for you, not for the gargoyle. LOL
Apr. 8th, 2006 12:42 am (UTC)
Come to think of it, I've passed by there many times, and have never seen anybody even close to that house.

I'm sure that a-would-be prowler, would take one look at those things late at night, and he'd start running like crazy!

I WANT one! :o)
Hugs and smooches to you too, Sweety Pie!
Apr. 7th, 2006 02:32 pm (UTC)
I think you should just go up to the front door and tell them you saw the gargoyles and were very interested in them and wanted to know more about them.

The worst thing that can happen is them ask you to leave. Sometimes you get some good information.
Apr. 8th, 2006 12:35 am (UTC)
I will someday. The worst they could do to me is bring all those creatures to life and gobble me up! :o(
Apr. 7th, 2006 07:41 pm (UTC)
That's pretty bad ass.
Apr. 7th, 2006 11:40 pm (UTC)
They sure are, huh?! The more I see them, the more I love them!
