I have a phobia. It's so bad that when I see this thing,
I lose total body control. I can't breath and my body goes
into something so terrible, that I even lose control of my
bladder. I'm being very serious.

I won't share with you what it is that causes this terrible
reaction because I'm afraid some evil person will put a pic
of it here in my journal.

Do you have a phobia? Want to tell me what it is?

I don't like the sight of blood. I get real lightheaded and sometimes I faint.
Nov. 15th, 2005 03:11 am (UTC)
Blood doesn't bother me at all, but try to poke me with a medical syringe and I'll actually faint! haaaa

I can give them, but I sure can't take them!

By and by, syringes are not my phobia.
Nov. 15th, 2005 03:15 am (UTC)
I don't have phobias per se, but I do deal with post traumatic stress syndrome. . .so I guess my phobias would be memories . . .and there are a lot of things that find their way back to those memories in my mind. Bleh.

It is devine to be human.

Nov. 15th, 2005 04:12 am (UTC)
I know exactly what you mean about memories.

My memories aren't phobias, but they have ruined my life!
Ironically, have life because of my memories,
which flow throughout my body, in place of blood.

Those memories have filled my life with so much hatred,
that I do believe that if I were to someday forget them,
I would die.

Yes, it is divine to be human.

One of my dogs is so big, he looks like a Grizzly Bear and
whenever he approaches one of my friends, they actually freeze!

I'm sorry that dog took a bite out of you!

I wanna be just like her when I grow up!
Nov. 15th, 2005 03:25 am (UTC)
Let's see....

I get freaked out by the sight of blood. Not my blood. I could be drowning in my own blood and I'm fine. But other people's blood.... And this was before blood was classified as a potentially lethal biohazard.

And trains- more specifically, getting hit by trains. Which I think is connected to the blood thing. I think when I was a kid I saw the aftermath of someone getting hit by a train. My friend lived next to the tracks and I have a weird memory of that.

And finally, heights. Which is fucked-up, considering I spend a bit of time at my job up on ladders/etc.
Nov. 15th, 2005 03:26 pm (UTC)
After seeing what you saw, I can fully understand how you have a phobia of trains! I've noticed that phobias are created in us when we were kids.

I have felt euphoric by jumping out of airplanes, but have a little uneasy getting on top of a chair to get something that's out of reach.

Phobias are a mystery and God only knows what created them in certain people in the first place.

Hugs my friend!

No phobias here. And very little bothers me, especially if I know it's there.

Blood happens, and I have seen lots of it, including my own.
Spiders bother a little, and heights can get to me.

It is a little a bit weird considering all the things that have happened to me in my past. Maybe I have faced them all down?
Nov. 15th, 2005 03:08 pm (UTC)
I have a friend who has a phobia of elevators.
One time we went to a wedding reception at a hotel.
The party was on the 10th floor. We had to use the
stairs to get there and by the time I got there,
I wanted to go home and to bed 'cause I was so

Recently, my friend fell down and broke her knee cap.
The was rushed to the hospital and although she was
in horrible pain, they had to wrap her head with
towels in order to get her into the elevator.

I've often wondered if a certain phobia pick us,
or if we pick it! Life is strange, isn't it??!!
Hugs Sweety Pie!
Nov. 15th, 2005 04:30 am (UTC)
My phobia is snakes. I don't know why it just is.
Nov. 15th, 2005 03:03 pm (UTC)
Isn't it odd how a phobia can affect our lives.

For example, I'd rather be locked up in a room
full of snakes, than with the phobia I have.
Snakes can harm us, but the phobia that I have
most likely can't. That's what makes my phobia
so impossible to live with that I can't live
a normal life. It's so bad, I've gone to a
shrink and he could help either. It was a
waste of time and money. I've learned to
accept my lot in life and realize I'll live
with this phobia for the rest of my life.

It's a good thing you don't live in Texas,
'cause we have lots of rattlesnakes!
Hugs my handsome friend! Love the icon,
but the one where I called you Inspector
Sherlock Holmes has got to be my favorite!

Nov. 15th, 2005 02:53 pm (UTC)
You'll never guess in a million years what my phobia is.

It's something so ridiculous that my friends always as me why in the world would I have a phobia with something like that. Of course, I'll never tell what it is here.

Anyway, your mission has been accomplished 'cause you already got me peeing my pants with laughter by your post! Damn, gotta go shower AGAIN! @:o)
Hugs krets!

Oh, thanks for accepting my as your LJ friend, I appreciate it alot!

Flying. Airplanes. (are my phobia)
Nov. 15th, 2005 02:56 pm (UTC)
I wonder what triggers phobias.
Why can 2 people see or experience the same thing,
and only one is so affected by it that it becomes
a phobia that affects everyday living.

I suppose that is another one of my phobias; being surrounded by lots of people. This is why I hate the nightclub scene! The room filled with horrible smoke and people bumping into you because the place is packed like a sardine can!

I have a phobia of dark water.

In shallow water, or bright light, where I can SEE....I'm fine.

I'd have a hard time with scuba diving even though I desparately want to do it.

'Cause when I've been snorkeling, and get into water deep enough, or dark enough, that I can't see far out, I freak.

It's like...even though there might NOT be something out there....there MIGHT be.
Nov. 16th, 2005 02:31 am (UTC)
I don't blame you at all.

I believe movies have alot to do with phobias.
Ever since I watched Jaws, I promised myself to swim only in swimming pools.
Ever since I saw the movie PSYCHO, whenever I take a shower and wash my face, I rinsed my eyes IMMEDIATELY and take a quick peek behind the shower curtain.

By and by, we had BIG giggles because of you, llamallama!

I've saved your icon in my hardrive. NEVER have I seen a funnier picture!
I mean, that pic makes me ROAR with laughter. I've even been driving and remember the pic and start laughing! FUNNY, SO FUNNY! haaaaaa

I can't think of any phobias I have at this time. In the past, there have been a number of fears I had but I've overcome most of them. My greatest fear is feeling helpless and having to accept whatever happens. Hugs to my friend.
Nov. 16th, 2005 02:57 am (UTC)
I know what you mean about feelings of helplessness.

When I saw my mother dying, I felt so helpless because I couldn’t do anything to stop it.

A day after we buried her, I got a letter stating things that my mother had died because of neglect. I still feel so helpless because in the end, I cannot accept what happened to her and will wonder for the rest of my life if maybe I had just been aware (REALLY OPENED MY EYES) that they were neglecting her, she wouldn't of died.

Feelings of helplessness are terrible things to experience and it’s most traumatic when it deals with those we love.

Looking forward to looking at more of those pics! Hugs my friend!

The way a shrink explained my phobia was that something traumatic happened in my life as a child and the last thing I saw was *the thing I have a phobia of to this day* and just can't remember what the tramatic experience was when I saw the *thing*

I believe the same thing happened to you. You saw something that was too much to bare and you blocked it. Tornado's bring back that traumatic experience you had. Maybe if you and I could remember or unblock that traumatic thing that happened in our lives, we could be cured.

I also have horrible nightmares about the *thing* and wake up screaming.

I don't mention what exactly what my phobia is because I have a couple of enemies and how they would love to put a pic of the *thing* here for me to freak out.

I hope one day, you and I will be able to come to terms with our particular fear and be healed, once and for all!

Hugs my friend!

hmm... what if you dressed up as it? (if that's even possible.)

lol... I so want to know what it is!

As for me, I'm not really afraid of anything.
Nov. 18th, 2005 06:33 pm (UTC)
I can jump out of an airplane, I can grab rats with my bare hands, etc., but this thing really takes me a hairline from insanity.

The only people who know what it is are the ones who have seen me in action, which totally freaked them out! I start gasping for air, my jaws lock up, my body starts going into convulsions and most embarressing of all, my bladder gives up! I'd wear a Pamper, but I just never know when I'll encounter this *THING* It's so bad that even accidently looking at pics of the *THING* causes the same reaction.

"what if you dressed up as it?" If I did that, you can take me directly to the FUNNY FARM! haaaa

NOPE! You will never know what this SECRET *THING* is!
