Homeless man in despair

There's a little story behind this pic, but after taking his picture, I drove up to him and gave him some money. The look of hopelessness on his face will never be forgotten.

He wasn't in a spot where he could be seen, and he was absolutely not begging. He was well hidden in an isolated area, where I just happened to drive by by accident.

I wanted to take take him home with me, just as I did with my adoped Grandpa so long ago, but it would have been impossible financially.ManInDespair

This is my brother 9 months out of every 24. He still can't shake his addiction.

The best I can do is make sure he eats when I find him and give him decent, durable clothes. ( Can't give him anything he can trade for drugs.)

I also have a cousin who was addicted to drugs. He came from a fine family. He died in some ally from an overdose. Came very close to destroying his family.

I'll never understand how it's possible they try the stuff for the first time, and get hooked. So sad!

I'm sorry for the pain I know you are going through with this brother!
