Sorry it has taken me so long to start with my Italia Picture Album. I've been in a strange mood for way too long that I haven't been able to break out of. Perhaps it’s been because I’ve been inundated with quite a few little health problems with Grandpa and many of my pets.

After I've finished posting all the pictures I took while in Rome, I'll do a little write up about it. I still have quite a few more pics to share with you.

These thumbnails will take you to some pretty big pictures:

I'll have you know that I clicked through to see the large version of each and every one of those pictures. It took me back... but no pictures of Circus Maximus? Oh well, it's just a giant pit right now, anyway.

Did you happen to buy a Fanta while you were there? They're absolutely wonderful in Europe (they use real juice!), and a bottle of it goes a long way on the hot streets of Rome.

I'm glad the pics took you back to when you were there! I'll be posting some more very soon.

Now you tell me about buying a Fanta! No, I didn't know about them and I'm sure I missed a delicious treat! I did eat lots of ice cream. Best ice cream I've ever eaten!

ACK! Sacrilege! It's gelato, not ice cream! If the Italians heard that, there'd be some real mean looks coming this way.

Ah, Fanta. Not the Fanta we've got here in the US, but the Fanta they sell overseas. I called it the Nectar of Rome, primarily because I found Rome hot, crowded, and dirty, and orange Fanta was sweet salvation from the heat. You could buy it from the street vendors, and since the formula is different in Europe than it is in the US, you'd immediately notice the difference.

Great pictures. They're amazing. I love the Colosseum photos. I hope they're restoring it too. It was in bad shape years ago.

Glad you enjoyed them. I'll soon have more pics for you to enjoy. I have a pic of this row of the most colorful and delicious ice cream I've ever seen or tasted!

What I'd give to go back to just one those days. Of course, I wouldn't dare go back as a maiden pauper! :o)
