McDonald's Happy Meal and Toy

When I and my four older brothers were little, Mom and Dad would take us, maybe once a month, to McDonald's and buy us a Happy Meal. Excitedly we'd look inside to see what the silly little toy was. These are my most happy memories of my childhood, and ever-so-often, I'll now stop at a McDonald's and buy one. It's funny how I suddenly start feeling like a child all over again.

It's unbelievable, but now some fruitcake politician is trying to eliminate TOYS from fast food meals.

Questions:
1. Did you love Happy Meals and the toy?
Yes - No

2. Do you want the little toy eliminated:
Yes! (Optional) Why?
No! (Optional) Why?
Who give a damn! (Optional) Why?

I sort of missed out on the Happy Meals toys cause I'm old, but I did get a few Lion King toys back in the day and I thought they were fun.

Removing the toys won't make kids stop wanting fast food

I've seen your pic, and you sure don't look old to me, in fact, you look pretty darn HOT!

And you're never too old to buy a Happy Meal and sigh with happiness by the little toy you get. Just look a me!

Well, you're pretty hot too, and you deserve all the Happy Meal toys you can carry

I miss your naughty side and your naughty pics, but I also love your animal and travelogue pics too

Perhaps I'll soon make a post about how and why I've changed. How I wish I could go back to when I was looking at this world in another way. Anyway, I think of you more often than you can imagine.

I have a good imagination. I think about you, too

We should chat sometime. It doesn't have to mean anything more than 2 interested people talking about politics, animals and ghosts or whatever else that crosses our mind. I know you don't want any of us to get that close to you, and I respect that. With 3-4 states between us, we still maintain a great deal of anonymity. I think you're interesting and are such a mystery, and believe you'd be make for delightful conversation.

I may be too forward. I shall wait until you post about all the personal changes in your life, if and when you ever do write about them.

The world is a darker, more unpleasant place than either of us could have anticipated. It bothers me very much that things are so dismal everywhere I look, and I try not to think about it because it'd just made me more depressed.

When I was little there were no toys because there were no happy meals. BUT there were 15cent hamburgers 15cent fries and 20 cent milk shakes. BUT when they came along they were a nice thing, and some of those early toys are quite valuable now.

A Happy Meal is happy because of the small toy. It would be stupid to eliminate them and those political hacks who are trying to pressure McDonalds need to pay more attention to the Budget, Immigration and the Terrorist Threat and keep their damn hands off our food. If you have not heard, They are also pressuring the Movie Theaters to stop selling popcorn and sell carrot and apple slices and other health snacks. It was bad enough when the food police lied through their teeth about coconut oil, and made the theaters stop using itto pop the popcorn. it lost a lot of flavor.

Truth is coconut oil is as healthy as corn oil or canola oil.

I think I took you to a Happy Memory of childhood. When I remember how excited I'd become by just rushing through the door to order that Happy Meal, it makes me really smile.

I just don't understand how anyone could find a problem with it, but there will always be a jerk looking for ways of wiping those smile of happiness from children.

I had no idea about the popcorn in movie theaters. How dare they dictate what we should eat or not eat, as if we were doo doo birds.

I was too old for the happy meals by the time they came out, but in general, give me a box of cracker jacks, or some horribly colored unhealthy too sugary kiddie breakfast cereal with a toy in it or whatever, and that was always the added bonus of the experience. As an adult I bought a couple happy meals for the toy with them - some collectible thing or another that wouldn't get me beat up amongst geeks at work. Toys gotta stay. It ain't right and it ain't complete without 'em.

Such beautiful memories, huh?!

We are NEVER too old to buy a Happy Meal from our old favorite - McDonald's! That jerk says they should put the little toy in a salad. Can you imagine a little kid ordering a salad and actually eating it?!

1. Yes!

2. No! - Because at McD's I can get my kids fruit juice, carrot sticks, and some food, and they get a treat!

1: Yes
2: No. It's not really going to be a "happy meal" without the toys, is it? Just another example of how our government is trying to run our everyday life for us. Fruitcakes on both sides of the aisle in Congress think they know what's best for us, and in some cases they're right, but taking a kid's toy? Give me a break.

The little toy McDonald's has always provided with the Happy Meal has put a smile on countless children AND adults. :o)

1. Yes, I liked the toy in the box.

2. No. It won't make a difference what happens, the McDonald's marketing machine is good enough to compensate for the loss of the toy. Why take that bit of joy from the kids?

I know. It isn't like parents take their kids to McDonald's every single day.

I'll write more about it if that fool wins and has McDonald's take away the little toy from the Happy Meal.

Didn't get Happy Meals, I preferred the Fish Sandwich. I didn't really care about the cheap plastic toys that McDonald's had back then. However, if they had Beanie Babies back then, I might have went for them.

As for continued offering of the toys, I think it depends on what toys are going to be offered.
