"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows
into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness
into you, and the storms their energy, while cares
will drop off like autumn leaves."
- John Muir

This is exactly the stuff I'd love to see in person. Ancient history and architechture is my one big fascination. Great pics

I totally recommend you someday going to Cusco, Peru, so you can see for yourself the breath taking view of Machu Picchu. I know you will go someday, and when you do, you'll remember me!

I'm so happy you liked the pics!

Do you know a lot about the history of ancient Peru, about the ruins?

Not really. All I know of its history is what I saw, and what I've read on the internet. I want to know much more so I can make some special webpages about it.

When I return from Costa Rica, I'll post more pictures of the Machu Picchu ruins.

I've been wanting to go there since I was a kid. I can't believe you didnt invite me. :\

It's because I left you on that plane once, huh?

I'll never forget that day! There I sat like a bump on a log waiting for you to come back from the bathroom. Little did I know you had slipped out in a parachute, never to be seen again! grrr

Someday, you'll go there. Trust me!

Re: THe Inca Trail
Yes I went to Peru twice, the last time with my oldest daughter, I did the Inca trail, the rainforest Cuzco and Lima both times. The first I caught a deal on the Sanctuary lodge and stayed right at Machu Pichu for three days.

It was interesting to see that you did Costa Rica also, I didn't explore that country, I just went to the surfing school with my oldest daughter and son. We were in a small town on the West Coast named Nocera.

It's great that you went to Peru not only once but twice!

I loved it there, but I had a little bit of a hard time dealing with the polution.

I'll eventually be posting some pics from my Costa Rica visit.
