1. I so wanted to grab this adorable little guy and give him a great big hug! He was dressed as a pharmacist.

2. I heard a bunch of black birds squacking like crazy in my backyard. When I went outside to
investigate, and found that Peanut had a baby black bird, about the size of my hand in his mouth. It had apparently fallen out of its nest. The bird was injured but still alive when I took him out of Peanut's mouth. I didn't know what to do, so I put him in a little blanket in the laundry room. I tried to give him water, and mashed cantalope, but would have neither. I continued trying throughout the day and night, but it was to no avail. This morning he died, which saddened me. He isn't suffering anymore.

3. When I first found Pee Wee, I had named her Missy, but later changed my mind about her name.

Pee Wee is doing much better after her spaying operation. She, unlike my other five little indoor dogs, refuses to be poddy trained, and she has a most disgusting habit of getting into my cats litter box and eating the poo!! I can't understand why she would do such a sicko thing. She sure isn't hungry, since I feed all my animals in the morning and evening. Pee Wee isn't allowed to stay indoors anymore for the time being. I'll give her one more chance when the cold weather starts to do her business outside, and IMMEDIATELY stop eating my cats poo! Can anyone tell me why she does this?

4. I think it's time to TOOT my HORN again. I'll be posting pics from my BRAG Book very SOON!

5. I've added some more LJ icons. Hope you check them out.

A lot of the people I work with, or clients, that have both cats and dogs say they have that similar issue. They really don't know why, possibly they like the smell. It also seems to happen more with female dogs then male. Whatever the reason may be, it is totally disgusting I will agree with you there. haha

I even cut a lattice fence in half to block the entrance where I have my cats litter box, and she, and she alone pushes it down to get at it. My other little dogs look at her with the same disgust I do. heh heh

I've always had dogs, and I had never experienced something like this. And to think that when I first found her, I'd give her great big hugs and smooches in the mouth, which I do with all my dogs, and indoor cats!

I'm not sure I like this particular icon (woman in the red dress) It looks like a murder scene to me which might promote violence against women.

I love red, and wear red a lot, and ever-so-often, I die, too. Of natural causes, of course! :o)

Just like Miss Havisham, you left me waiting at the alter. Our wedding cake has a bunch of spider webs! :o(

What Pee Wee is doing is called Coprophagia, the link below gives info and some potential cures:

Thank you so much for that link.

I do know that she's healthy, because I had to take her to have a complete health evaluation before her next appointment for spaying. She also got all of her shots, since I had no idea if she'd ever had any. She wasn't mico-chipped either. Perhaps, as the link said, she suffered hunger, or was abused. I tend to believe she was, because she pees when she gets scared by loud noise, and even when I show her affection.

I can now see that it's going to be just about impossible to stop her from doing what she does. I'm going to have someone make me a solid fence type thing, and use it instead of the flimsy lattice I now have to keep her away from the litter box.

I did keep her in the laundry room until she was able to walk easily from her operation.

Thank you! You've helped me understand her problem, and I'll continue trying to poddy train her, and put a stop to her nasty habit.

The cat box thing is fairly common behavior for dogs. One theory is that they still can derive nutrients from it. My dog would do it as well, but he knows he's not allowed in the basement where the cat box resides.

I've had dogs for as long as I can remember, and Pee Wee is the first to do this. Thanks to you and others here, I've found that I'm not the only one with this problem.

I have cats that have to have access to there litter box. What I've done is to put a chair against the lattice fence I recently placed, so she won't be able to push it away. I'm giving it another try, and as for training her to do her business outside, I'll also keep trying.

Nothing is impossible, right?! :o(

Allie used to do that a lot when we first got her, and still does, but thankfully not nearly as often. We had to scold her (yelling, NEVER physically) and not give her treats whenever she did it (she normally gets a little something whenever she goes potty).

I can put up with her doing it ever-so-often. I'll just make sure to never kiss her mouth like I do my other babies! As for potty training her, I won't give up until she learns, just like all my other dogs did.

My golden retreiver would snack out of the cat litter box at times. Some dogs will do that. Disgusting, but then many of dog habits are, we tend to compare them to humans and they are not. At the moment I am watching a friend's old Lab who is asleep about 8 feet from me and all this dog can do is FART. Almost turning the air green. Dogs....

Yeah, it sure is disgusting to us humans, but then, what do we know?! heh heh

Since you mentioned the Lab, and farts, I'll have to make a post about one of my dogs! heee
