Democrat. Though if Clinton somehow becomes the nominee, it's going to be a serious nose-holder of an election.

Because I think McCain is just another 4 years of the last 8 years. And they sucked.

given the last 2 "elections" where I didnt consider it was possible for a retarded chimp to be "elected", I both
A) dont make those kind of assumptions anymore
B) dont believe any citizen's vote even matters

but ya, neither party in "our" one-party-masquerading-as-two system represents me either

I mean this seriously. By all means do get the word out on Bob Barr of the Libertarians. It will kill two birds with one stone. It will strengthen the 3rd Party argument (which I support) and it will siphon votes from McCain in parts of the South where Obama can be competitive like Mississippi,Georgia, North Carolina which I support even more . :) I don't underestimate the power of Bobb Barr in the South especially in fairly anti-McCain territory.

well, with McCain wanting to invent a new cold war and grind us further into poverty/slavery (assuming those of us here are not part of the 1% war-profiteering), I suppose I'm stuck with democrat, although they dont represent anything much better. it's all a puppet show.

I'm torn. I believe in smaller federal government, and more power to the states, which is a traditional republican belief, but I have so much mistrust in the republican party, and I am strongly opposed to their social programs and strong faith based ideals (I don't need someone else's faith legislated on to me, thank you very much).

Plus, I really like Obama's message of hope.

Those things combine to have me voting Democrat.

So although I will be voting McCain for President, between local, state, and national elections, there are members of both parties who I will support.

They've raped our environment and our military personnel, and stolen billions of or tax dollars to line the pockets of their corporate pals and fund a phony war.

How's that for starters?
daddy
May. 17th, 2008 06:23 pm (UTC)
I( cannot believe you believe tghis trash.. Raped our Environment HOW??
The oil pipeline that they said would decrease the wildlife population in CAnida?? They are thriving.. There are 25000 polar beard NOT 5000 as was quopted by Algore. and if you think that we puny humans can upset the environment you are fooling yourself. Mother Earth will take care of herself, she always has.

As for tax Dollars you have seen no0thing yet If Obama or Hillary gets in Your taxes will become prohibitive.

As fopr the phony war you emention it was a just war, and we have done what we needed to do get rid of a despot that thought nothing of genocide. And we are ghelping another soverign country win its freedom against totalitarinism.

And just think it was probably people like you who said this war was all about getting IRAQ's Oil, and the US has not gotten a single drop.

Finally I was Military and I know friends and relatives that are in now and they are happy to be doing a job they feel is vital. If you wanna talk about Raping our Military look at what Bill and Hillary Clinton, Jimmy Carter and L.B.Johnson and the democratic congresses did to our Military. THAT was RAPE!

"Raped our Environment HOW??"

Let me count the ways...

http://tinyurl.com/4bsg76

"As fopr the phony war you emention it was a just war, and we have done what we needed to do get rid of a despot that thought nothing of genocide."

*chuckle*

I thought it was because Hussein was linked to al Qaeda.... no wait, it was because he had WMD... no, wait... it was because he was a "despot"... a despot that the U.S. armed and supported for years while he ruled Iraq with an iron, bloody fist. Your heroic boys in the White House just kept changing the story until they found one that would hoodwink the American people (who were devastated by 9-11 at the time) into naively supporting an illegal invasion.

"Finally I was Military and I know friends and relatives that are in now and they are happy to be doing a job they feel is vital..."

That's all well n' good, and I appreciate the sacrifice they make. Now, if Bush & his jackal pack would stop mistreating them (e.g. improper armor/vehicles, medical care debacles like Walter Reed, decrepit barracks like Fort Bragg, stop-loss trickery, GI Bill benefit cuts, etc. etc.), everything would be hunky-dory. Care to take a guess as to how many of our troops' families live below the poverty line, Soldier?

May. 18th, 2008 01:06 am (UTC)
Ok I looked at one ofr the sites your Google referred to so lets look at it..
1. Whats wrong with turning environmental Protection over to the States? The FEDS dont know what is happening in each state, but the State does.. LESS Federal Involvement!! Nopw if we can get them to totaly eliminate the EPA and the Dept of Education.
As for the Global Warming fiasco, It is a joke pure and simple Its a LIE that was brought about by a sensationalist (ALGORE) trying to make everyone as stupid as he is. It is BAD SCIENCE, it has been proven wrong and the Cooling of both the pacific and the Atlantic oceans prove it. The Earth goes throuigh Cycles!!! as proof I remind yopu of a little thing we call the Ice Age... and just a few decades ago those same dumb ass scientists that are pushing the Global Warming BS, was wanting us to sprinkle coal dust and ash on the polar ice caps to melt them because the earth temperature was cooling and there was too much polar ice. Another BS is this carbon footpring crap. If its so damn important then why the hell is youir Demi-god ALGORE flying all over the world to spout his BS in a lear jet> WHY is he living in a mansion that uses more energy in a month than all his neighbors do in a year? WHY is he not driving a Yugo?? instead of the SUV's he has???

NEXT yopu once again spoutthe BS about our troops not having the right equipment... Why dont you check the GM records and see WHO ordered the hummers without the sheilding?? It was the Clinton Administration. When the Bush Administration realised that they did not have what was needed he ordered them Unfortunately it does take some time to refit those on the assembly lines and then ship them over to the troops. The new vehicles that are almost IUD proof are made here in South Carolina, you can sit on the Interstate and see multiple trucks every hour carrying one to the coast for shipping every day. The Pay for troops has been low forever its NOT Bush its the CONGRESS, hell when I was in the service I could have pulled food stamps, It was not till Reagan and his republican congress, did the pay start to come up a little... BUT there were some who did not want us to get those pay raises and would filibuster to try and hold the pay raises up. If you want I can tell you the name of the worst TEDDY KENNEDY! The last time I looked that SOB was a democrat!

Finally there were WMD's every civilized country in the world agreed with this and even the UN passed resolutions that stated that fact. Hillary and John Kerry both signes the congressional record agreeing with this fact. Maybe it was the fact that thousands of Kurds were GASSED be their "benovelent leader" (Mustard gas IS a WMD) Older Chemical weapons that were sold to IRAQ by France and Russia were found and destroyed by the US troops.

Your quote of my boys also included your hero Bill Clinton. WHY the hell did he not stop all the funds going to him? WHY the hell did not Bill Clinto take Osama Bin Laden when he was offered to the US by Yemen? All this shit could have been avoided by Clinton if he had a set of balls, but unfortunately they had already been ripped off by the CoPresident Hillary.

Ill stop here because Im about to the end of my space.

Look, sport... I'm done wasting my time trying to talk some sense into you (and polluting this poor woman's blog in the process).

You wanna go into detail about how your fellow Republicans have fucked this country up beyond recognition? Feel free to to limp your sorry, neo-con ass over to my LJ any ol' time. I post about GOP crimes and deceit every single day, and I'd welcome your rebuttal arguments (via endless threads, if necessary) over there.

In the meantime, prepare yourself for a good, old-fashioned ass-whipping come November. We're taking our fuckin' country back, with you (& your ilk) kicking and screaming in the process.

I cannot see how I missed this reply but..... LOOK SPORT....
First you would not know a neo-con if they came up and bit you in the ass... You dont even know what the correct definition is.. only the one used by the socialist bloggers.
Next Its as much my country as yours maybe a luittle mre because I had the self worth and love for her to enlist and serve my country, then continue to serve my state city and county for an additional 34 years so far. what have you done for your country city or state?? other than be a drain on their resources??

Remember the immortal words of a REAL CONSERVATIVE Democrat, JFK!
"Ask not what your country can do for you but what YOU can do for your country."

Next, the fat lady hasn't sung yet... and if by some freak of nature OBAMA does get elected, (Hillary is not done with him yet.....) You will see just how bad your socialist idealog will fuck up our country.

finally, I am not a republican, I am an American with strong concervative values. I do not follow a party. and if you had paid attention in school, rather tha worry where you were gonna get your next fix from... You would know that George Washington in his farewell address, stated that Political Partys would ruin this country. And they are. Republican and Democrat together! They all suck. Nowe grow up and get a life! Better yet instead of complaining about everything why dont you do something constructive and try to change for the better, the small part of the world that you occupy!

You again?

*chuckle*

I thought I asked you to take your drivel over to my LJ and stop polluting this young lady's blog., But you're either a coward or a fool... and talking to either is like talking to a tree stump.

And by the way, you miserable old blowhard, I "serve my country" on a regular basis, not only by coordinating a charity that takes terminally ill and disabled children on the outdoor adventures of a lifetime, but also running an twice-annually food and clothing drive and volunteering at my local animal shelter twice a month. That's every bit as "patriotic" as you enlisting in the Army, marching off to foreign lands and killing people under some brass-ass's orders.

Now, like I said before, sport, if you want to face off, stop by my blog any ol' time. Or hell, I'll just e-mail you my address and we can do it over a beer. Otherwise, keep your star-spangled windbag mouth shut. You don't know the first the thing about me or the definition of "loving one's country."

P.S. ...if by some freak of nature OBAMA does get elected... You will see just how bad your socialist idealog will fuck up our country."

*chuckle*

You mean as opposed to the wonderful shape Geortge W. Bush has left us in?

I take back what I said about you being a coward. "Daddy." You're simply a fool.

to quote an old adage... Who is the bigger fool, the fool or the fool who follows the fool, and it seems you are since yopu continually respond. to what You feel is like talking to a stump.

I stay here because Savanna allows us to express our tghoughts here on subjects she chooses and I enjoy good back and forth with people who are honest and sincere in their opinions and feelings. I do not go to blogs that I consider to be socialist hate spreading trash heaps.

As for your service to your community, I applaude you for your actions. I just wish more people gave of themselves, Time or Money to help their neighbors and friends.

AS for Obama why do you socialists continue to conpare him to Bush Bush is not running you need to compare him to McCain or any of the opthers running but you cannot because no one really knows who he is or what he cares about...
jblaque
Jun. 7th, 2008 07:17 pm (UTC)
"Socialists," as you call them (I call them approximately 72% of Americans), compare McCain to Bush because McCain's voting record has been in lockstep with Bush's policies for years.

And you're right. I am, admittedly, a fool for continuing this conversation with you. I just took a look at your LJ, and find it incredibly ironic that you would describe mine as a "hate-spreading trash heap." Now that Obama has the nomination locked, we'll have plenty of time to compare him, head-to-head with your phony "maverick" war hero.

And for the record, I'm not a "socialist"... altho' being labeled one by a 28%er like you is a badge of honor.

Last word is all yours, sport. Seeya in November, eh?
daddy
Jun. 8th, 2008 05:28 am (UTC)
ok lets get this straight your numbers are way off. Where do you come up with 72% of Americans are liberal democrats?

As for McCain, I am not one of his biggest fans because I know the man. I served with him in the Navy as did my brother. YES he is a hero, and it is well documented.Yes he is a maverick as the media has labeled him this too is well documented.

I am very proud to have served with a man who distinguished himself as a POW. I am not very proud of his actions as a senator for the state of Arizona, or what he has said about some areas of his platform. Even though some are a hell of a lot better than Obama's. Neither has my vote.

We will not have to wait till November... Hillary is gonna do something just before or at the convention to really mess up his chances. Not sure what she has found but since Obama is just another Chicago politician there has to be some shit buried somewhere!
daddy

I'm also in Australia (though I'll be visiting your land for a few months this year - will get to see the circus) and we've already had regime change here. But if I could vote in the US, it would be Obama. He strikes me as intelligent and (considering the constraints on politicians) principled - articulate, but with stances and policies much deeper than populism.

If you had a proper electoral system (instant runoff or preferential) I'd look at the minor parties. In Australia I vote Green first.

I do not understand the "not voting" mentality - however bad one side is, there is a difference, and not caring either way is irresponsible.
