Loretto Chapel Miraculous Stairway PICTURES

These are the pictures I took of the Loretto Chapel Miraculous Stairway. It is absolutely beautiful, and if I were to ever marry, I would choose this little chapel to do so!

The pictures I took came out much better than the ones taken at the Santuario de Chimayo. I believe this was so because I felt very much at ease taking them since it was permitted to take pictures, unlike Chimayo where it was forbidden, and which caused me to react like a cat on a hot tin roof while I eventually was able to shoot them. This link will lead you to the history of the Loretto Chapel Miraculous Stairway.

I will soon add the pictures of the exterior and interior Saint Francis Cathedral in Santa Fe New Mexico, and a very strange little cemetery with two sort of bizarre gravesites I found off one of the side roads on my way to Chimayo, New Mexico.

I need to go back to Santa Fe. We went there on a family vacation many, many years ago. Your pictures are reminding me how much I enjoyed that trip. Thanks for posting them!

Yes, you and yours must go visit again.

I know I'll be going back someday soon, because I missed going to so many more places of interest. I also so want to drive our into the outskirts of the city and venture into the many tiny side roads to see what I find. I'll post pics of one tiny place soon, that was really interesting.

I also want to go to Albuquerque and check things out there. I did plan on stopping there on this last visit to Santa Fe, but I was told it would be impossible to find a hotel because of the Balloon Festival. Next year, I'll plan ahead and make hotel reservations so I can go to the Balloon Festival.

That is absolutely stunning artwork. Great pics.

Too bad there is a lot of pagan influence as well. Actually, catholic churches are full of pagan symbols.

When you get the chance, watch part 1 of this video:

Re: Oops, that was me
that's odd...

if it doesn't work again, you can just go to google, click video, and look up zeitgeist. And it'll bring up the link to the "Official Released Video".

I've heard of the miraculous stairway before. My friend visited the chapel before and told me all about it. It's indeed rooted in mystery and I love mysteries

You must go see it for yourself someday. It is awesome to see it. I forgot to add a pic of the way it was before the rails were added.

It is truly a mistery!

Did you know the Stairway use to not have rails? And the nuns would go up to play the organ and sing in their long dresses and none of them ever fell but they added the rail to help support them can you imagine walking up them with out rails?
My mom thought it was the pretties chapel she has ever seen.
