PLAYGIRL'S MUSICAL WORLD

PLAYGIRL'S MUSICAL WORLD

I love all musical instruments, but the piano is my favorite. Whenever I have some free time, I enjoy tinkering with my piano, for fun and relaxation. I also enjoy listening to the violin, sax and drums.

What's you favorite musical instrument?

If you tell me what your favorite song is, I'll play it for you with my toes!
Do you know the lyrics? Place them here, too.

For me, the most beautiful song in the
entire world has to beYOUR SONG

And here's the YOUR SONG video with
Elton John and Alessandro Safina.
ENJOY!!

My favorite instrument is the organ.
You can play any song on it.

Phantom of the Opera
If you can play Phantom of the Opera on the organ, your my guy forever! :o)

Phantom:
Sing once again with me,
Our strange duet.
My power over you,
Grows stronger yet.
And though you turn from me,
To glance behind.
The Phantom of the Opera is there,
Inside your mind.

Christine:
Those who have seen your face,
Draw back in fear.
I am the mask you wear.

well since I played Trombone for 16 years, I am kinda partial to the Bag Pipes.. (we did not have bag Piped in my high school marching band).
As for my favorite song, That is very easy.

SMILE by Charlie Chaplain.
It was the theme mucic to his last silent picture, thhe best recording I know of was done by Nat King Cole.

Smile tho' your heart is aching,
Smile even tho' it's breaking,
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by,

If you smile
thro' your fear and sorrow,
Smile and maybe tomorrow,
You'll see the sun come shin-ing thro' for you

Light up your face with gladness,
Hide ev-'ry trace of sadness,
Al -'tho a tear may be ever so near,

That's the time,
You must keep on trying,
Smile, what's the use of crying,
You'll find that life is still worth-while,

If you just smile,

Norwegian Wood
The guitar is also a beautiful sounding instrument. I had to do a Google search for Norwegian Wood, because I'd never heard of them.

Mary Had a Little Lamb
Playing the piano is very relaxing.

If you can play one of my childhood songs, Mary Had a Little Lamb, then maybe someday you should take some piano lessons. I know you wouldn't regret it! :o)

I love so many songs but this one means a lot to me
and my favorite musical instrument has to be the Harp
but what ever instrument there has to be a heart attached :o)

You fill up my senses
By john Denver

You fill up my senses
Like a night in the forest
Like the mountains in springtime
Like a walk in the rain
Like a storm in the desert
Like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses
Come fill me again

Come let me love you
Let me give my life to you
Let me drown in your laughter
Let me die in your arms
Let me lay down beside you
Let me always be with you
Come let me love you
Come love me again

Let me give my life to you
Come let me love you
Come love me again

You fill up my senses
Like a night in the forest
Like the mountains in springtime
Like a walk in the rain
Like a storm in the desert
Like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses
Come fill me again

Have a great Sunday Sunshine :o)
Love you!

Yes, without a heart attached it's impossible to savor the music.

I have never heard of this song before, but the lyrics are beautiful!

Love you, too Sweety Pie

My favorite instrument is piano and next to that trumpet. Piano is great because it is an instrument that sounds good all by itself. I love jazz piano like Bill Evans and Dave Brubeck.

Trumpet is my favorite instrument especially in a big band setting. Just bought a couple of Maynard Ferguson albums. Also enjoy Dizzy Gillespie because I love the sound of bebop.

Have you ever heard Andre Rieu? He is so wonderful!!

First, let me start off with a bad joke:

"Liberace was great on the piano, but sucked on the organ."

Thank you! I'm here in the lounge 3 nights a week, sunday through tuesday. Don't forget to tip your waitress!

Ok. Now onto the question at hand:

I can't narrow it down to one. But favorite instruments are:

*The human voice.
*a six (steel) stringed guitar.
*Drums
*lately, the harmonica. In a rock 'n roll sort of way.

I suppose if I had to play one to save my life, it'd be drums. From fifth grade all the way into the early 90's (that's about 15 years, give or take) I played drums for fun and no profit. Always lusted to play a guitar well, but even decades later, it still eludes me. I can't sing, but I like to do it anyway. And half a skim at my LJ shows you my nearly daily harmonica ponderances and thoughts.

My brother learned to play the piano when he was seven years old. He had a teacher that had him playing classical music like the pros by the time he had 2 digits to his age. By now he plays pretty much anything that falls under his fingers. Spooky. I've had passing fascination with keyboards, but I don't really feel like it's an instrument I could grasp any easier than a guitar, which I fail most miserably at playing.

And that was entirely too much information. But now you know.

Liberace
Wow! I forgot the favorite of all, the human voice as you mentioned!

I find the drums and sax incredibly sexy, and the piano and violin as romantic as can be, and find the banjo and harmonica can snap anybody out of depression.

How lucky you are to have a brother that can play classical music!! I love it!

Oh, and don't worry about failing miserably at the guitar, because I do to with the piano. What counts here is that we at least try! :o)

And the Liberace joke wasn't bad at all, 'cause it made me laugh!!

harmonica, which i play badly!!!!

favorite song changes constantly. here's one from my top ten

I can't laugh I can't cry I can't see inside of me
Don't know the reason why

I ain't straight
And I ain't high
I'm the ugly in between
Can't live and I can't die

I wanna scream
And I can't win
My life's a living soundtrack
For a human horror film
I can't feel
And I can't love
My mama never showed me how
I never was enough

I can't laugh
And I can't smile
I'll sacrifice my aged elders
To show me how to die
I can't love
And I can't feel
And my mother never loved me
Deep down she hated me

I can't fuck
I can't feel
I'm one bizzare motherfucker
What the fuck's inside of me

I'll kill the beast so to free my soul
And smash the mirrors that won't let me go
Oh if there's a smile that ya see
It's only the clockwork orange that's in me

I curse the darkness impassioned plea
And tear the heart out and watch me bleed
I'll sacrifice my blood for free
To satisfy the vengence that's in me
And bury the mirror that's inside me

What's you favorite musical instrument? I love the guitar. Especially when a good flamingo song is being played on it.

If you tell me what your favorite song is, I'll play it for you with my toes! Walk Away by Nocturne

Do you know the lyrics? Place them here, too.
I look around, and wonder how
this all came to be
I think I'm awake,
But I'd rather not be.
You are the wind that's removed
from my sails
I am the ship that is sinking
I'm loosing strength,
I succumb to the sea
You are the waves that have
drowned me

Why won't you lie to me?
I want you to lie to me
I want an end to reality
I have no more vitality
Ignorance is bliss
A lifetime of disappointment
Isolation is a better friend than
you could ever be
I try to look with in you
And all I see in nothing!
I am so desperate to find
something within
But your heart has died and decayed
One look in your eyes tells me
this is the end
Quietly I walk away

A constant reminder, reminder, reminder

Hide in a place
where the only one there
Is a lifeless shell of a girl
Ask real nice
and the answer may come
But you may not like what you see

Quietly I walk away...

My fave song...

You Are My Sunshine.

You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine,
You make me happy,
When skys are grey,
You'll never know,dear,
How much I love you,
Please don't take my sunshine away.

The other night, dear,
While I was dreaming,
I dremt I held you in my arms,
And then I woke up,
All sad and lonely,
And I laid my head down and cried,
because,

You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine,
You make me happy,
When skys are grey,
You'll never know,dear,
How much I love you,
Please don't take my sunshine away.

I think I have made this list in another place, but here it is again.

Of musical instruments I have:

4 guitars
a bsanjo
a ukelele
a violin
a trumpet
2 zithers
some kind of harp
a harmonica
an electric organ at the foot of my bed (no puns please, LOL)

Also I believe I also have someplace, a flageolet and a recorder or two.

Having a musical instrument and playing one are two different things with me. :P

I saw a very used euphonium in a second handf shop yesterday, but the asking price was way too high.

Favourite song? It deoends ... I'll get back to you on that.

Vanessa Mae play the violin? She is fantastic!
