Pope John Paul II

Pope John Paul II

Pope John Paul II, called the Pope of the millennial, has been very much on my mind lately. I do not know why. Maybe it's because the world is in such a mess, and I kind of wish he were still around. I feel so very sad for the innocent people of Lebanon and Israel, and for those who are suffering so throughout the world.

How I wish I could have been there at the Vatican, with this Holy Father of the Catholic Church in Rome, as his health worsened. I remember hoping and praying that he would not die.

I love this wonderful, beloved man very much, who was very much devoted to the Virgin Mary. I find it befitting to add my most favorite song in the world, Ave Maria to this post.

My dad isn't doing very well. I'm counting the days for August the 11th and 17th to be here. I lost my mom last year, if I lose my Dad...

I'll be making a big post on Prostrat Cancer next.

Pope John Paul II

"From now on it is only through a conscious choice and
through a deliberate policy that humanity can survive."
Pope John Paul II

"The cemetery of the victims of human cruelty in our
century is extended to include yet another vast
cemetery, that of the unborn."
Pope John Paul II

"Have no fear of moving into the unknown. Simply step out
fearlessly knowing that I am with you, therefore no harm
can befall you; all is very, very well. Do this in
complete faith and confidence."
Pope John Paul II

Nicely said and Ave Maria has to be one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. I must admit though, I feel the Disney Studios out did themselves in Fantasia, where they used Ave Maria Night on Bald Mountain together. To me its the best rendition I have ever heard.

Yes, it has to be the most beautifully spiritual song in the world. It's a song that touches the core of ones soul. Every time I hear it, I cry.

I wish the best for your dad that he pulls through this, and that your mom is up in heaven, playing Monopoly with Pope John and Elvis

John Paul really was the best of us...I still miss him too.

I hope your dad gets better and stays with you for many years to come. I will pray for him and for you.

All my love...

Yes he was. No other pope will EVER compare to him.

Thank you, and yes, please pray.

I remember when we first found out about the cancer, I somehow found
Padre Pio, who is known to perform great miracles for the sick. I bought a novena with a picture of him, and I prayed constantly to him. He performed the miracle then. It's time for me to start that novena again!
