Kim Jong Il North Korean Missile Issue

Kim Jong Il
North Korean Missile Issue

The U.S. has to take some kind of action against the North Korean missile issue.

I believe the mildest action might be for surrounding nations, such as Japan, South Korea, etc., to put restrictions on their trade, but I don't believe the North Koreans would care very much about that.

The second action might be for the U.S. to try and shoot down future ballistic missiles. If the Koreans should launch another one, and the U.S. is successful in shooting it down, I feel this would be a good thing because the world would see that the missile defense system works. But on the other hand, if it were to miss the missile, it discredits the missile defense system terribly and would be a monstrous embarrassment for the U.S.

The third option, and most provocative, might be to try and destroy the missile by attacking the launching area where the missile is at. But this would be a direct attack and cause for a war for sure. It would not affect the us, but it would be a horrible situation for our soldiers. All in all, I don't believe this 3rd option would be good, because China and Russia don't want the U.S. attacking North Korea.

I find this missile thing with North Korea, a most dangerous and complicated thing.

I read in the Book of Revelation 9 :16, and would like to know if the 200,000 horsemen will be the Chinese?

Is our world doomed? Am I right or wrong in making the assumptions I have just made? Could you please give me your thoughts about this North Korea missile issue?

Do you feel Kim Jong Il is a bit off mentally? VERY dangerous?

Playgirl's Kim Jong Il Quotes:
"No faction is better or worse than any other. All come
from the same mould; they are all products of capitalist
influence in the working class movement. And they are a
poison that destroys our Party and the working class
movement in Korea."
- Kim Jong Il

"We oppose the reactionary policies of the U.S. government
but we do not oppose the American people. We want to have
many good friends in the United States."
- Kim Jong Il

"Team America: World Police"
- Kim Jong Il

"I am sure you have seen for yourselves and
sensed how the Korean people feel towards
the United States here in our country."
- Kim Jong Il

I think North Korea and Iran are looking for respect from other countries PLUS they know that if they drag things out, they get more goodies from the many other countries.

I think having the involvement of many major and minor powers in these things is wonderful and essential. Time for the world to take interest in these things and time for the USA to be more involved with other countries instead of this go-it-alone stuff.

Hell, it is certainly simple enough for a bunch of countries to get together and make it quite clear to Iran, Korea, or whoever that (1) if they ever fire nuclear weapons at another country, they will be edradicated and (2) that they have an equal responsibility to keep nuclear technology and materials out of the hands of terrorists.

My biggest concern is that our President is apt to go off half-cocked like he did in iraq and decide to take military action. Frankly, our president scares the shit out of me a lot more than North Korea and Iran.
